In the March cover feature of InStyle magazine, Jennifer Aniston tries to put to rest rumours about her relationship with her ex-husband Brad Pitt and his partner Angelina Jolie. When asked by the magazine what the press gets most wrong about her, the 42-year-old actress answered that it was the supposed bad blood between herself and the couple.

"The triangle with my ex-husband – and that there's a feud there. It's constant. It's a story headline that won't go away, but it's a money thing," said Aniston, referring to how the press profits from "a story that has nothing to do with reality".

In the same interview, Aniston revealed she is in a "joyful and peaceful" place in her life. She is currently dating the actor Justin Theroux.

Robert Downey Jr and his wife welcome son

The actor Robert Downey Jr and his wife Susan welcomed a son, Exton Elias, on Tuesday morning in Los Angeles, reported CNN. When interviewed back in December, Downey said the first thing he'd tell his newborn would be: "Are you ready for your close-up?"

It's the couple's first child, although the 46-year-old Iron Man star also has an 18-year-old son from a previous marriage.

Simon Cowell shoots down Beyonc X Factor rumours

After last week's ousting of The X Factor USA host Steve Jones and the judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, there were rumours that the producer-judge Simon Cowell was offering Beyonc an astronomical sum to come onboard as a judge. But Cowell told the US TV programme Extra on Tuesday that he has no idea where this information came from.

"I read it online that I offered her US$100m (Dh367m) a year. It's complete nonsense," he said.

Cowell took responsibility for the perception that The X Factor USA has been a lukewarm success, acknowledging that his declaration that it would be bigger than American Idol set the bar too high.

"It's only because I opened my big mouth and said we were going to get 20 million viewers," he said. "If I hadn't said that, everybody would be saying the show was a huge success."

Mallya heir in tussle with actress

The Bollywood actress Ayesha Takia and the son of Kingfisher Airlines owner Vijay Mallya, Siddharth Mallya, got into a bitter spat on Twitter after the former's younger sister, Natasha, alleged that an airline employee tore up her boarding pass at Delhi airport.

In an angry outburst, Ayesha, the daughter-in-law of the politician Abu Asim Azmi, wrote: "The worst airline, Kingfisher! Shockingly bad airport staff behaviour with my sister." She found several supporters on Twitter, who forwarded her messages to Mallya.

"Been getting retweets about Ayesha Takia and KFA. Not sure who she is, an actor of some sorts? But it seems something has upset her," he wrote, inviting more angry tweets from Twitter users who backed Ayesha and narrated their own airline woes.

Kingfisher Airlines denied any misbehaviour from its staff.

Mini Mathur to host Indian Idol

The Indian actress Mini Mathur will return to the popular music reality programme Indian Idol as a co-host, five years after leaving the show.

Sony Entertainment Television's Sneha Rajani made the announcement on Twitter last weekend. "The anchors of Indian Idol 6 will be Mini Mathur and Hussain Kuwajerwala. Yes the original host, Mini, is back!" she
