Btw in our country don't they make a big deal of the SR? They even look for an auspicious day for it.  They dress up the bride in heavy clothes and jewellery and the groom wears a grand dress. They deck up the bed and stock the room with fruits and milk.  The whole world (at least the family and friends) should know that the two are consummating. A private matter is made so public.  No wonder couples sometime panic and put it off for later.
