Nupur: " oh! Seems introductions are
required from your side."
Mayank felt the irritation in Nupur's voice and for a minute he hoped it to be
jealousy but he had refused to expect too much from Nupur.
Sam: " I guess you are right. Ria and Pooh are our friends! "
Ria: " girlfriends you mena baby!"
Sam ignored Ria and a scowl slowly covered his face which left Gunjan bursting to laugh.
Mayank: " we met them in England on a business trip."
Pooh: " which was converted into a
pleasure trip by us ! right Mayank?"
The way she said his name, Nupur wanted to murder her.
Nupur: " oh wow! I never knew."
Pooh : " didn't you? anyways! Now we can have so much fun! Mayank I missed you
so much!"
Mayank actually hide behind Nupur when he saw Pooh launch for him.
Nupur was glaring at the clinging form of Pooja. She thrice felt like reminding her that Mayank was her husband.
On the other hand Gunjan was immensely enjoying herself. the frown that appeared on Sam's face everytime Ria called her baby was damn hilarious.
Nupur finally got tired of all the flirting .
Nupur: I guess I should arrange something for lunch."
Pooh: " Nupur tum bhe na! Kahen bahir chalet hain na! What say Mayank?"
She leaned towards him.
Mayank fidgeted trying to free himself from Pooh but she had a strong grip, one had to give her credit for that atleast.
Nupur: " I will go change."
Nupur stood there for a minute but then left with a feeling of hurt coursing through her. She realized she was jealous. She was shocked at first but then wasn't it normal for a wife to get jealous? She hated pooja for being so intimate with HER HUSBAND!
Why, it had to be the day she was planning to get things settled between them.

Mayank finally rid himself of Pooja and went to the room.
Mayank saw Nupur standing beside the open cupboard.
Mayank: " Nupur.."
Nupur: " hmm.."
Nupur didn't bother turning. Even if she was the culprit was previous night, Mayank had no right behaving with her cousin in that flirtious manner that also infront of her eyes!
Mayank: " Ria was Sam's girlfriend and that is how I met Pooh… there is nothing more to that.."
Nupur: " I didn't ask for explanations…"
Mayank: " but I felt it was needed… sometimes its better to say it out rather than let misunderstanding take refuge in one's heart…"
Nupur knew he was talking about her… she again felt guilt take over her anger…

Ria and Pooja finally got distracted by the house and went on surfing the house. Sam went to sit beside Gunjan. " Gosh! She is beautiful!"
Sam thought.
He felt a strange attraction towards this girl. Her innocence fascinated him.
Sam: " I told you this world is too
small! We meet again!"
Gunjan looked up with laughter still dancing in her eyes, " ofcourse! How else
would Ria have met her Sam!"
Sam groaned and Gunjan laughed out loud.
Sam: " Point made!"
He sat beside her.
Sam: " so you are Nupur's???"
Gunjan supplied: " sister."
Sam: " oh great!"
Gunjan passed him a smile and a short silence followed.
Sam switched on the t.v. and started changing channels when suddenly Gunjan squealed like a little girl: " Harry potter! Aur wo bhe 7th part! Mein kab se ye dekhna chahte hoon!"
Samrat was shocked by the innocence again. He was used to bold and flirting girls. This was something completely new for him. She captivated him.
Gunjan realized what she had done and she smiled sheepishly , " arrr..errmmm… actually I am a BIG fan of harry potter!"
Sam: " even I like the novels.."
Gunjan stared at him for a whole minute. Samrat was confused by her odd
reaction.
"what happened?"
Gunjan: " You have read Harry Potter?"
Sam: " han! Harry Potter and .. Peer-e-kamil! Yehe to do novels parhe hain meine zindigi mein!"
Gunjan: " I guess I must take my words back! I am lucky to have met you again! You are the first … actually first is Mayank jiju.. you are the second man I ever met who have read two of my all tiem favorite novels!"
Samrat: " haha! I never understand
why you women doubt our reading skills so much?"
Gunjan: " a very good question! Now how about you move on to the next one?"
Samrat: " haha! anyways you are counting em as an exception right?"
Gunajn: " well ya! You and Mayank jiju!"
Samrat : " don't you think that is a
reason enough to become friends?"
He held his hand out and grinned.
Gunjan hesitated for a moment and then shook hands .
Gunjan: " friends!"

Mayank was waiting for Nupur along with all the others. Gunjan's " Dii! Apne kitne dair laga de" informed him of her arrival.
Mayank looked up and saw Nupur descending the stairs. He was mesmerized…She was wearing black saree and her hair were left open , falling lightly on her shoulders. She looked like a princess out of a fairy tale. She was all innocence personified and Mayank wanted that moment to stop. He wanted to touch her to make sure he wasn't dreaming.. he wanted to hug her.. her… his wife.. but she wasn't ready for it yet… Mayank felt a hand clasp his heart… all joy seeped out of him…. His wife… a wife who wasn't ready to accept him…

of stairs staring at her. she was enthralled by the passion she saw his eyes..
but then he blinked… and the moment was lost!
