Suddenly Nupur's phone rang and the spell was broken.
Nupur lowered her eyes and picked up the phone.
Gunjan: " dii! Kahan reh gaye aap aur jiju? hum kb se wait ker rahe hain."
Nupur: " han wo… ermmm… bus tyar he ho rahe thay hum.."
Gunjan: " jaldi ao na dii! Hum sb apka intezar ker rahe hain."
Nupur disconnected the phone and with her eyes still lowered she said: " Gunjan ka phone tha.. hmen ab chalna chahiay.."
Mayank : " yeah sure…"
Nupur kept on avoiding his eyes and this irritated him.

As soon as Nupur and Mayank entered Gunjan came running and hugged her dii.
Gunjan: " dii! Aap ne kitna wait
krwaya."
Nupur hugging her sister tightly.
Nupur: " acah jee sorry ! ab kan
pakroon kya?'
Gunjan : " nahe nahe dii!"
Mr. And Mrs. Bushan joined them.
Mrs. Bushan: " Nupur!"
Nupur hugged her mom and then turned towards her dad. As usual he refrained from showing much emotions but still he hugged her.
After that Mayank and Mr. Bushan went to sit together while Gunjan and Nupur went to her room to talk…talk .. and talk.

Mayank and Nupur were not alone for a single minute for the whole day. Besides having the palnned lunch they stayed till dinner and they were pretty tired by the time they reached home.
Mayank changed and sat down with his laptop to do his work while Nupur was busy reading a magazine.
For once Mayank was unable to concentrate on his work. He kept on glancing at Nupur. she looked so pretty curled up on the bed in her light blue night gown.
Finally he gave up. He has not been able to work on a single document since he sat down.
Mayank: " Nupur…"
Nupur looked up. Mayank was distracted by the smile playing on her lips. She
looked beautiful when she smiled. He smiled and
Mayank came to sit beside her and she curled up more unconsciously making space for him.
Mayank: " whats so entertaining about this magazine?"
Nupur : " nothing..ermm… I was getting bored so I started reading this story… "
Mayank: " and how about you enlighten me with the story?"
Nupur felt shy. She was reading a romantic story and that is why she was caught smiling.
Nupur: " I don't think you will like it… its childish…and well…I guess girlish too…"
Nupur tried to hide her embarrassment behind smile.
Mayank: " girlish han? that's
interesting… no one ever told me a girlish story.. how about you try?"
Nupur saw Mayank smiling.
Nupur: " don't you think it's a bit late for trying this out?"
Mayank: " not at all...specially after I witnessed your last night …"
Nupur knew what he refered too and she blushed . meanwhile she was trying to find an excuse for not telling him the story " but…. But…"
Mayank: " but??"
Nupur: " but.. I am hungry…oh yes..i am hungry.."
Mayank : " really?"
Now he was openly grinning . Nupur caught him at it and hit his shoulder
lightly.
Nupur: " that wasn't fair.."
Mayank laughed out, " a husband is allowed a little bit of teasing now and
then.."
Nupur was mesmerized by the sound of his laugh. She realized she had never heard him laugh. When she came to think of it she realized she had seldom seen him smile.
This made her smile turned into a frown.
She liked the way he laughed.. the way his lips curled up to smile… he looked so handsome than… and… she shook herself… it was strange but whenever he was around her thoughts find direction by themselves and ….usually ……they were directed towards ….HIM…

Mayank saw her frowning and she looked so cute that he was unable to hold himself back. He leaned towards her and kissed her.

Nupur was shocked by this intimate contact but yet again she realized she couldn't move away…she didn't want to… she couldn't push her husband back….. she wanted to make him happy…

Mayank leaned back to look in her closed eyes.
Mayank: " nupur…"
Nupur kept her eyes shut. She could feel herself going red all over.
Mayank took his silence as rejection and was scolded himself for taking liberty with her…
Mayank: " Nupur.."
Nupur : " I am still hungry…"
Mayank was got off guard, " What?"
Nupur slowly opened her eyes.
Nupur: " I am still hungry…"
She quickly got up from the bed and without looking at him said, " I need to eat something so I am off to the kitchen."
Before Mayank could say anything she quickly walked to the door.
Without turning she asked: " you need something?"
Mayank : " no… but that story is still pending… you see I never leave the anything undone.. I usually have to finish what I started.."
Nupur knew he was teasing her but she rushed out of the room.
She needed to calm her raging nerves which was impossible with Mayank around. Moreover she needed time to sort out her feelings….she wanted to understand the sudden attraction she felt for him.. the sudden urge to make him happy…

Samrat was moving towards his car. He intended to surprise Mayank by reaching hours earlier.
Suddenly he bumped into someone.
Gunjan: " dekh ker nahe chal sakte?"
Samrat saw a extremely pretty girl standing infront. However as he had plenty
of experience with girls so he knew this one was angry.
Samrat: " hello I am Samrat but mere
friends mujhe pyar se Sam kehte hain."
Gunjan was shocked at his boldness.
Gunjan: " bohat bura karte hain.
Unhen tmen ANDHA kehna chahiay."
Samrat grinned.
Sam: " uff! Itna gussa! Itna gussa acha neh miss…Gunjan."
Gunjan was shocked how he knew her name .
Gunjan: " how the hell do you know my name?"
Sam: " Sam sb janta hai… wese apke
locket ne bhe kafe help ke."
Gunjan looked at her locket and remembered it had her name on it.
Gunjan: " wow! What a genious you are….."
Sam : (cutting in) " wo to mein hoon…."
Gunjan: " aisa koi kahe to samajh lena keh wo pagal hai."
Sam: " aha! Not bad! Although I am not in favour of women with wit as I believe it's a total waste but I am impressed by you. Apse mil ker khushi hue."
Gunjan: " whatever…"
She was leaving when she heard him again: " Hey Gunjan.. Phir milen gay.."
Gunjan turned around: " trust me I am yet not that much influenced by bad luck to meet you ever again."
Sam laughed: " you never know… see ya."
Saying this he turned and both moved in different directions.
She was already late to greet her unwanted guests.
They were her cousins Ria and Pooja.
She and Nupur always disliked them but had to tolerate them because of their mother who was easily fooled by their buttering.
