'Bhabi, khana lagnay wala hai. Tho sabko bulalain?' asked Shamita

'Han , han'

'Dolly nay khaas farmaish ki thi , kal walay pasta ki. Usnay ithni achi banayi thi aur Daal bhi!' Said Shamita in a surprised tone.

'waqay main. Ithna acha banaya unhonay, pehli dafa khaya tha na..mujhe tho bohot pasand aya. 'Agreed Hansa

She looked at Hema and saw that she bore a confused look on her face

'Darasal , meray devar kay saat ek haatsa ho gaya tha' explained Hansa

'abh voh teek hai. Doctor kay paas gaye hue hain. Athay hi hongay' she continued quickly looking at Hema's shocked expression.

' bohot madad ki na bhabi?' interrupted Shamita

'bilkul. Umr bhi kam hai lekin samajdar ithni , ki bas hum tho hayraan hi reh gaye' said hansa in agreement.

'usnay puray ghar waalon ko bari hi samajdari kay saat sambhala. Hum tho ghabra gaye thay. Kuch samaj nahi aa raha tha ki kya karain, kya na karain. Hai na shamita?' asked Hansa

'ji bhabi…meri tho jaan hi nikal gayi thi. Agar voh na hothi mujhe nahi lagtha ki hum sahih waqt per hospital pahunchtay ya kuch bhi ker patay' agreed shamita

'lagtha hai bohot achi larki hai' said Hema

'achi? Humain tho bohot bha gayi. Ithni mehenthi hai ki bus. Aur athm samman tho ithna ki, hairangi wali baat hai, ithni choti umer main aisa pehli baar dekha hai maine.' Said Hansa with a hint of pride in her voice

Hema smiled as the image of Sana surfaced in her mind.

'Han bhabi, Mera dil jeet kya usnay' added shamita

'aapkay yahan kaam kerthi hai' asked Hema

'nahi…humaray yahan tho nahi lekin humaray saath kaam kerthi hai. Unka apna business hai aur meray betay kay saath kisi project per kaam ker rahi hai. Maine kabhi pucha nahi' smiled Hansa

'aapko milwa dengay abhi' said Hansa

'voh apkay ghar per hain?' asked Hema

'Ji .. uper office hai humara vahan per hain meray betay kay saath' added shamita.

'acha… tho kafi shor hotha hoga' asked Hema

She had assumed that there might be more people working upstairs.

'Nahi . bus yahin hai aur koi nahi' said Shamita looking at Hansa. A smirk had grimaced her face but it went away as soon as it had come.

Hema realized that there was something more to this.  How can only one person work, but she did not voice her opinion.

Hansa did notice the slight crease on Hema's forehead. She knew that Hema must have realized that it was quite odd for a stranger to work in the house of their work partner.

'Darasal humara beta unhain bohot pasand kertha hai' said Hansa

Hansa was not amongst those people who liked to tell about their family to outside people but she somehow felt that , Hema should know. She could not finger point the reason but she did feel the urge to tell her and to clear any misunderstandings that might have arose in her mind.

'Acha!' Smiled Hema

'Lekin usnay humain bataya nahi. Aur voh bhi meray khayal main ye nahi janthi ki humara beta unhay pasand kertha hai.  Voh tho kaam kernay aain hain' said Hansa

'Han, Rithul, mera beta, voh chahta hai ki pehlay ghar walay ussey milley, janlay aur voh bhi humain jan le. Isiliye Rithul nay usko ghar wali office sey kaam kernay ko kaha hai' added shamita

'Aur yahi hua. Humain tho bohot achi lagi. Aur unko bhi hum meray khayal main thoray thoray pasand aa rahe hain. ' added Hansa smiling.

'bilkul' said Shamita agreeing.

'Ye tho bohot acha socha aapkay betay nain. Aaj kal kay bachay pehlay apnay beech sara kuch tay kerthay hain phir ma baap sey milathay hain. Lekin Jo aapkay betay nay kiya , ye bohot samajdhari wali baat hai' said Hansa surprised thinking about the approach of their son.

'ji bilkul. Waise mujhe tho lagtha hai ye sirf humaray betay ki merzi hai' said Hansa

'acha kiyun, kya voh larki pasand nahi kerthi? Aapka beta tho bohot acha aur smajdar malum hothay hain' said Hema voicing her thoughts

'han lekin merzi tho donon ki honi chahiye' said Hansa.

' ji sahih kaha aapnay' agreed Hema

'memsahab khana lag gaya hai' announced Makhan.

'Chaliye, Hemaji' said Hansa as she got up to show Hema to the Dining room

' Shamita thum ja ker sab ko bula ker aao'

Scene 4

'Papa sambhalkay'

Rithul had returned with Neel from the hospital.

Hasna and Shamita rushed towards the door to help Rithul .

'Dheeray' Urged Hansa as they walked behind Rithul, who was walking besides Neel.

'main teek hun bhabi. Bus Shoulder main dard hai. Thoray dinon main voh bhi teek ho jayega' Said Neel as he walked towards the living room.

Neel sits on the Sofa and notices Hema.

'Maaf kijiyega…

'Neel, ye Hema hai. Aaj humain super mall main mili thi. Darasal, Dolly humaray haathon sey ghum ho gayi thi…'explained Hansa

'fikr nahi karo….'she added quickly looking at Neel who had started to loose color.

'Hemaji nay usey humain sahih salamat wapis ker diya' Said hansa as she smiled at Hema and Neel.

'Bohot shukriya aapka' Said Neel full of gratitude

'BHai sahab , aap sharminda nahi karain. Ye tho mera farz tha' said Hema

'Neel chalo khana lag gaya hai. Hema ji, aap aayiye' invited Hansa.

'Rithul thumb hi aajao aur , saath le ker aa jana' said shamita as she pointed upstairs towards Sana's room.

'Han bhabi lekin main pehlay change ker lun'

Neel left to his room while Hansa, Shamita, Rithul and Hema proceeded towards the dining room.

'Oh my God!' Exclaimed Rithul as he hit himself on the forehead.

'maine File ki CD ghadi main hi rakh di' he said turning towards to the main door

'Kya hua? Kahan ja rahe ho?' asked Shamita

'Ma, voh unko file deni thi' He said as his eyes flickerd towards Sana's room

'Agar nahi di na , bus, bohot naraz ho jayengi' said Rithul.

Hema looked at Rithul and smiled at his child like innocence.

'Koi baat nahi , pehlay khana kha lo. Vaise bhi lunch hai na voh bhi neechay hi aathin hongi. Phir le aana' said Hansa

'Oh no no Tayiji. Voh tho pehlay sey naraz rehthi hai mujhsey. Main nahi chahtha ki voh aur bhi naraaz ho jaye. Aap tho janthi hai na, kitni particular hai' Said Rithul as he dashed out towards the main door.

Hansa, Shamita and Hema looked at each other and giggled together thinking about Rithul's behavior.

'Pagal..' said Shamita as she shook her head.

'aap ayiye'

'Mom is everything ok?' asked Sana as she saw Hansa and Hema walk into the Dining Room

Hema looked at Hansa, and then looked back at Sana with a forced smile on her face.

'Han. Sabh teek hai'

Sana gave her a questioning look. Something did not seem right though she did not want to intrude.

'Chalo lets all eat! Kafi dair ho gayi hai' said Neel as he indicated towards the maid to bring the food.

Hema sat besides Sana and placed the Napkin on her lap.

'Is every thing ok mom' whispered Sana so that only her mother could hear

Hema merely nodded.

'Rithul thumnay bataya nahi ki Sana Florida sey hai' said Neel

'Mujhe bhi tho aaj hi pata chala hai' replied Rithul

'waise bhi mujhe kahan kuch batatin hain ye' he muttered as he tore a piece of roti

His remark was not gone un noticed. Hema looked at Rithul's disappointed face and understood that Sana must have hardly spoken with him let alone tell any details about herself.

'Hema ji, main chahthi hun ki aap aaj shaam tak hamaray yahan rukhain. Waise Sana bhi yahin hai aur baki sabh ghar walay bhi aapsey mil lengay' Suggested Hansa

'Ji'?' said Hema hesitantly as she looked at Sana who contined to eat without a peep.

'Han aunty aap please rukiye. Sabh aapsey milna chahengay' urged Rithul

'Aunty?' thought Sana irritated by the sudden interest Rithul was showing towards her mother.

'amm-' said Hema still thinking on the offer

'Sana aapko tho koi ayetraz nahi hai na ' asked Hansa

'Nahi--- Mrs. Mehra. Its fi..ne by me' said Sana clearly disappointed.

'Aur Sana apni mom ko kahan ghumanay ka irada hai?' asked Neel

'Ji..? Abhi kuch socha nahi. Abhi project ki deadline bhi karee baa rahi hai.. uskay baad kuch sochungi' said Sana

'A-aunty.. aap fikr nahi kariyega. Main aapko le ker jaunga. Jahan aap chahe' added Rithul

Everyone looked at Rithul. Hema was slightly taken aback by his offer though none the less pleased. She had taken a liking towards him from the very first glance and with every passing moment her liking only increased.

Though Sana on the other hand did not feel the way her mother felt. She never liked Rithul's involvement in any of her affairs specially those that are related to her personal life.

' Shayad aap bhul rahe hain Mr. Mehra ki voh Project aapki hi company ki hai and obviously you have to be here for supervision' said Sana through gritted teeth.

'Sanaji I trust you. Aapko supervision ki koi zaroorat nahi hai' Said Rithul smiling

'Aunty aap kahiye, pehlay aapko kahan jana-'

'I think I would rather prefer that my mother goes sightseeing with me' erupted

Sana, no longer pretending to be rational.

'sure ! wanna join us?' asked Rithul

'j-joi? No? replied sana with a sarcastic laugh

'Ok then, so I guess its Aunty and me. Oh ma aapko bhi chalna hai' he asked

Shamita

'she is not going, with you' interrupted Sana

'Of course she is. Hai na aunty' asked Rithul once again

Hema was watching them argue and her heart became lighter with the passing of every moment.

Hansa, Shamita and Neel glanced at each other, wide eyed wondering about Hema's reaction towards Rithul's sudden outburst.

'Ok lets leave the decision to your mother. If she agrees to come with me then we go and if not 'hmm yeah that's never going to happen' He said confidently

'mom? So ..?' asked Sana turning towards her mother

'Well Sana, thum kaam tho chornay wali nahi ho. Tho yahi behtar hai ki main inkay saat thora bahar ghum lun, Mujhe bhi acha lagega' Said Hema

Sana looked completely flabbergasted

'I don't believe this.. 'she muttered shaking her head

'Aunty tho chalain plan banathay hain. Waise bhi sham tak tho aap hain hi yahan per' added Rithul excitedly

Sana looked at Rithul as if thousand knives were ready to launch an attack through her eyes.

'I am done. I will go back to work now' said Sana standing up

'Beta thumnay tho kuch khaya hi nahi' said shamita trying to make her sit

'Nahi thank you.. mujhe jana hai , kafi pending kaam para hua hai' said Sana as she pulled her chair back

'Acha aunty yahan per na 20 KM ki doori per , bohot hi khubsoorat, jharna hai. Kya kal hum wahan chalain? Asked Rithul

'kiyun Tayiji kya khayal hai. Waise bhi papa ko fresh air ki zaroorat hai. Thori sceneary badlegi tho unki sehat par bhi faraq parega' he continued

'Khayal bura nahi hai' agreed shamita

'Han , baat main dam hai' said Neel

'tho baki sabh ko bhi aanay do phir ek picnic ka plan banathay hain'

'But I have work tomorrow' added Sana who had been standing listening in to the conversation

'Oh , You are coming?' asked Rithul

'I thought you were going to work to meet the deadline' he added

'I guess I am not coming' said Sana as she walked away angrily

'Aunty, aapnay thori zyada mirchi khila di thi kya inko? Bachpan main? Said Rithul in a loud whisper

Sana had turned around and then made her way back to her room while Hema giggled.
