well lohri is the festival which is celebrated mostly in north India after getting new crop of wheat.

yes ur right, n this time same type of festival is celebrated with diffrent name like bihar ,UP, Rajasthan, MP, Gujarat - Makar sankranti

South India- Pongal
North- East- Onaam
