Sidra... I know what you mean when you say Sid has to go through a lot more before he could come to terms with his feelings. I fancy the idea because Sid isnt the kinda guy who would just accept he could get over loving someone he loved more than life so easily. He needs a few jolts and few circumstances to make him realize the fact. It's not easy; and I just appreciate the fact that you make it so evident. For Shilpa, what Armaan cost her was only her confidence. For Sid, Riddhima cost him his life - figuratively and sometimes even literally. it's not the same for both... and you make it so obvious. Definitely a trait of a brilliant writer! =)
As for the update, I loved it. Like I always do whenever I read ur updates! I adored the dance. Entirely - every detail, and every word you wrote out. But before reading the Note, I had though u were inspired by P&P or DE. but you know, just the way you described it, I never could picture anyone else in the exact same position as Sid and Shilpa were in. I could just about imagine everything that happened. It's that brilliant!
Shashank has always been one of the better characters in DMG. He has always been the giving one, very much like how Sid was. But like everyone else in Riddhima's life, he was in the rotten end of things. I am glad he sees the obvious, and hopefully will help Siddhant move out of his past.
Armaan on the other hand - i was shocked. More because he isnt much like Riddhima. Unlike his forever love, he tends to want to see people happy if it doesnt affect his happiness... After reading it once more, I guess I drew the conclusion that it was more of an ego problem. He hated it when Sid got attention, when Sid was more important, more loved and more cared for than him. When it came to shashank, riddhima or even shilpa. Now he realizes that Shashank is gone, Riddhima - although physically with him - might just be thinking about Sid, and his last option shilpa (who he thought loved him to no bounds) is in love with Sid. It's like everything he has is with Sid. The love he craved for is with Sid, the people he loved, loved Sid.
I think Sid brings out the bad person in Armaan. Because A is jealous of a Sid he could never be. He is jealous of how Sid's life is so beautiful even when he lost everything - aka Riddhima. How his life is almost miserable even if he had everything.... He realised that maybe he was better off with Shilpa, just like Sid was right now. But unlike Riddhima he might actually just feel guilty (maybe?)... The kind of character A is, I dont think he is worse that Riddhima. Maybe I just hate Riddhima, but I feel A has a chance to revive himself somehow... Riddhima absolutely cant! Or maybe not...
At the end, I love the fact that Sid and Shilpa is getting their share of happiness... something they deserved a long time ago! I am sure one day, Sid will be glad he lost R to A... Because if he hadn't he wouldn't find his true partner! =)
Amazing update - pretty much like always! I love the way you write Sidra, and no word could ever describe how much I adore reading this FF! =)
