Firstly, Chaand and Haseena or Abhay never TOLD the audience that they are drinking from silver glasses. Now, look at this :

STAINLESS STEEL

WHITE GOLD

PLATINUM.

Point being that a hell loot of metals and alloys look like silver and considering that , we can give the creatives a benefit of doubt.
