STAR Plus maintains leadership; adds 28 points to its GRP grade
The channel continues to hog top spot while Sony and its sibling, SAB, remain stable at 179 GRPs and 146 GRPs respectively.
STAR Plus, the leader of the Hindi GEC flock, has added 28 points to its kitty for the week ended January 1, 2011 to stand at 396 GRPs (C&S 4+, HSM) in the first week of the year. The channel has also witnessed a jump in its relative channel share from 26.1 per cent in Week 52, 2010, to 27.6 per cent in Week 1, 2011.

Viacom18's channel, Colors, on the other hand, has lost 7 GRPs during the week, pocketing 283 GRPs during the same period. Its relative share has also fallen to 19.7 per cent during the week, from the 20.5 per cent that it had registered in the previous week.
Occupying the third spot, Zee TV, too, has witnessed a 7 point drop in its grade over the previous week to pocket 224 GRPs in Week 1. Its relative share is at 15.6 per cent, down from the 16.4 per cent that it had captured in the previous week.
Meanwhile, Sony remains stable at 179 GRPs, while its relative channel share has dropped very marginally to 12.5 per cent during the week. Its previous week's relative share stood at 12.7 per cent. Sibling channel SAB, too, has remained stable at 146 GRPs. Its relative share, however, has dropped from 10.3 per cent in Week 52 to 10.1 per cent in Week 1.
SAB is followed by Imagine TV, which has gone up both in GRPs as well as channel share. It has added 3 GRPs during the week, garnering a score of 86 GRPs, while recording a relative share of 6 per cent, up from the 5.9 per cent registered in Week 52.
STAR One is in seventh position. The channel's relative share is 2.6 per cent for the week, while its GRPs have moved up from 37 GRPs to 38 GRPs.
DD1 and STAR Utsav have garnered relative shares of 1.2 per cent and 2.2 per cent respectively, while Sahara One has garnered a relative share of 2.1 per cent.
Saathiya Saath Nibhana (with 6.3 TVR) is the most watched programme in the Top 10 list with a TVR of 6.41. The other shows that have made it to the Top 10 list are Sasural Genda Phool (with 5.8 TVR), Big STAR Entertainment Awards (with 5.5 TVR), Pratigya (with 5.3 TVR), DID Doubles (with 4.6 TVR), Hindi feature film Dabangg on Colors (with 4.5 TVR), Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (with 4.4 TVR), Tere Liye (with 4.2 TVR) and Laagi Tujhse Lagan (with 4 TVR).
