Maybe Harry Potter can spare you oneLOL
But you could take videos with a camcorder and store them. These days the the little tiny ones are pretty good.

I think bollywood has a song for most DM topics lol. This song comes to mind

kahin to dil mein yadoon ki ek suli gar jaati hai
kahin har ek tasveer bohat hi dhundli par jaati hai
koi nayee duniya ke nayae rangoon mein khush rehta hai
koi sab kuch paa ke bhi yeh mann hi mann kehta hai
kehne ko saath apne ek duniya chalti hai
par chupke is dil mein tanhayee palti hai....
bas yaad sath hai, teri yaad saath hai

and even more beautiful

koi dil mein jaga nayee batoon ke liyan rakhta hai
koi apni palkoon par yadoon ke diye rakhta hai

what it means is that when it comes to memories there are two types of people i guess. some are more practical who live in the present and forget the past easily and are ready for new things.  then there are others who love memories and cherish them forever. i think both approaches are fine as long as one is consistent and honest with ownself.

Memories - what do you do with them?

You cannot get rid of memories (good or bad).... And if they become bothersome, you have to transform them to a level that is comfortable for you. I think that is the only way to keep sanity.

Most memories have a special message for us too.
We are basically a sentimental lot I think.

Ideally memories should help you move forward in life without having to repeat past mistakes but we seldom do that with regards to emotional memories.. instead we get attached to it and we become sentimental unfortunately..

its human nature to forget bad things and remember good... the reason we keep bad memories is out of curiosity of the consequences... we are programmed to be forgetful of unpleasant things in life!!!
