Now it would be something exciting if McDonald started serving real angus beef, cos thats what Indians have been really deprived of.

I liked CCD too.

@ Bold: i remember my dad telling me McDonald's did sell beef when they first tried going to India, and they failed big time. They had revamp everything for obvious reasons.

Yes, I agree. There are some similarities, but I enjoy CSI more i think. CID is good too though.

I liked the vid but have you seen how they clean the glasses that they serve tea in? It sure put me off sasta chai or even the ones that you get served when you go in to a clothes shop. Now I much rather wait till I get home and drink my nani's garam masale wale chai.

I like India's McDonalds and it's great that it caters for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Only in India would you go in to McDonalds and find pizza puff on the menu.LOL

Yes Starbucks is expensive and overrated but if it can do well over here and in the US then I don't see why it won't be successful in India too. If The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf can do well in India then so can Starbucks. There isn't even a Starbucks in India and yet most of the youth would have heard the name before. I'm pretty sure I saw Pooja Bedi wear a Starbucks t-shirt during rehearsals once on JDJLOL

I grew up eating and drinking raste ka kachrapatti khana. Pakka mumbaia. I can digest nuclear waste if need be.

I always find it ironic how Indians are totally smitten and fascinated by crap global brands when over here everyone is into local/organic/fair trade etc.

I don't CID anymore, so I think I've lost touch with that show. Then again, I have not watch CSI in a long time either.
