As Ashta talks to the photo of Bhakti,  she can hear her voice. and she complains and gets answers.  Her complaint is that her father refuses to marry and no ones seems to understand her.   Her aunts watch and listen and shed tears. 

Jalpa enters, and starts her loud talk, and in the course of her noisy talk, lets the cat out of the bag.  Ashta is very angry and  wants to go and  to stay in he outhouse.  she says that till she brings a wife for her father she will not eat.

Manjula thinks of a new plan.   Dev asks Ashta if she will
drink tea but she is stubborn and her aunts try all tricks to entrice her to eat.

The elders of the house  want to know how to win Ashta over. The women say that Ashta is stuck to  one point and to bring a wife and Mohan is equally stubborn. 

His brothers too are trying to convince Mohan.  He  is afraid lest the second wife will give his daughter a step motherly treatment.

Ashta faints and they go to the doctor  who advises them, that a mother is answer.  That her five mothers should find the answer.  Mohan stays with his child, as she lies unconscious. Manjula and the others can not sleep and are awake thinking of a plan.   They have to find a Jeevan Sathi for Mohan.

The aunts continue with their plan, and manage to make Ashta break her fast.  Her father, Mohan too is surprised.

The aunts want Ashta to eat, and Mohan too brings food for her.  Jalpa phones the marriage bureau  and to find a wife for a widower brother in law.  Ketan comes and she contuses words between wife and saree and leaves. 

Dev comes and they admire the decoration on the altar.  A customer comes and places and order for Krishna sringar.

They get the order.  after eleven days they will come to collect the order.   Ashta embraces Dev. 

The men discuss why Ashta has stopped being stubborn and Ketan tells them about Jalpa's  telephone call about a good woman.  The eldest brother says they are searching for a wife, and Mohan says he is opposed to this idea.  The brothers advise him and tell for Ashta's sake, our wives will try to get you married.

The women joke, and say they have invited Barak Obama for dinner as Jalpa starts her noise.   A joker enters invited by Manjula Nanavati, whose name is Jugnu Jamnagari.   They have decided to get an actress to pretend that she will marry Mohan, but she has to misbehave and force Ashta to tell her to go away.   Jugnu asks for one lakh for the Nakli Patni. 

The men too go to Jugnu's Agency and order him to find a actress who will pretend to be a wife for their brother, but the terms are that within a week, she should go away, and tell everyone that she had to go to America, and then call home, once a week, to keep up the game.   They offer Jugnu one and a half lakh for the job.

Mohan watches Ashta praying to Lord Krishna to give her father a partner who can make him happy and bring back the smile on his face.  Seeing this the father is humbled.   She turns and sees her father and asks him if he heard her prayer.  She tells him that she was praying that his smile comes back.  She goes out telling him that she will bring tea for him. 

Mohan is having self doubt and says he can not break the heart of his daughter and will tell the truth to her.  His big brother dissuades him.    They have to meet the agent at seven p.m.  and see what person he has found.

Mota Bhabi tries to call Jugnu, and finds his telephone is engaged.  Mota Bhai too tries, and finds his phone engaged.  Mota Bhai comes to the bedroom and asks his wife what she is doing and she tells him she came to bring his medication, and gives him blood pressure medicines with water and asks him to leave as he has had his medicine. 

Both husband and wife call Jugnu at the same time, from different places each one not knowing the other's plans.  Jugnu is sandwiched between two telephones, and answers both and there is a hilarious sequence, when husband and wife exchange words without knowing who is at the other end.

Thank you for your post.  It is a pity, good serials are given a step motherly treatment by these Channel executives.

The story revolves round the two plans of the aunts on the one hand and the men on the other.

Time is taken on the set, to show the above with their inane dialogs and jokes.   

The serious and beautiful scene is when Ashta comes in and tells them that her prayers have been heard, and Dev had submitted a tender on line, and they have got a big order and all are happy.  Later she brings milk for her father, who is holding Bhakti's photo and telling her of his problems, and Ashta brings in some warmth and love with her, and lightens up his heart.  He drinks the milk, and wonders at the goodness of his child.

Rest of the serial continues with the shenanigans of the family members to find a wife with the help of their friend Jugnu.  This serial had the highest TRP on the first day when it started, and with Krishna Gokhale as Bhakti, it did well, but when she got sick and had to leave, they changed the story and then it has been undulating ever since.

In the Nanavati house the men and women do their own plotting, and it lands them in a confusing situation.   They both depend of this comic Jugnu, and whether it is meant to be a comic relief, or just plane display of the wonderful talents of the script writers, is any body's guess.

Jugnu is after an actress called Vrinda, who stays in a Basti, and is a devotee of Laddo Gopal, and is being thrown out of her house.  In the meantime, enters Jugnu as if he has walked off from the Bollywood sets, with full make up on.   We are given a dose of dialog of the two, the gist of it, is that she has to do an act in which she has a lot of money to gain.

In the Nanavati household, she enters with her gungat, and like a village woman, in front of the women who have a job cut out for her.  On their telling  (in the famous Indian TV format, sound off, with lot of gesticulation, ending with "did you understand?") what she has to do, she is upset, and feels that these women are really bad, as no one who claims to be mothers, could do it.   She refuses to go according to their script and Manjula is offended that her great script has been refused, by her.   She sends her and the agent away.

In the meantime, Jugnu  gets a call from the men, and offers the same actress to the men, and on Monday, we are expected to see what the men will do.
