Here's the next chapter girls. I'm still trying to figure out the whole PM list thing so bear with me. Hope you enjoy it =].
"Suniye?" she said approaching a makeshift nurses table that consisted
of a table and two chairs with two nurses gossiping at it. "excuse me?!"
she was starting to get frustrated with the ignorance that the workers
at this Asylum were showing towards her. As soon as she raised her
voice, both of the nurses looked up at her in annoyance.
"Ji? Kya chaahiye aapko?" one of them asked
"Haan, itni raat ko aap yahaan kyun aayen?" the second nurse asked
"Mujhe patient number teen sau paanch se milna hai"
"Abhi?" the second nurse asked
"Ji haan, abhi, issi waqt" Taani insisted
"Dekhiye madam ji. Aap yahaan kisise nahi milsakte. Kal aahkar milna"
The first told her
"Ji nahi" she told them, getting more irritated by the minute. "mujhe
unse abhi milna hai aur agar aap mujhe unse nahi milvaaye na, to main
Dr. Mehta se khud complaint likwaoonghi" she was deadly serious.
"Shilpa" the second nurse whispered
"Lekin.." Shilpa seemed to relent
"Lekin kuch nahi. Mujhe is naukhri ki sakht zaroorat hai. Do bachche ko
paalna hai mujhe"
"Haan, haan. Acha theek hai" she replied and got up "chaliye madam ji"
she told Taani courteaously.
"Shukriya" she said before following Shilpa down the dark alleyway where
all she could hear was the loud and racous laughter filling the asylum
and frightening her to her very core.
"Aaye" Shilpa stopped in front of the last door in the corridor. Taani
watched as Shilpa searched for the right key from the bunch in her hand
then unlocked the door and opened the small wooden door that covered the
window of the room. Shilpa turned to Taani, who slowly approached the
There he was. Stood sideways as he was sat on the floor with a piece of
charcoal in his hand, writing "I love Mishti" on the wall. She smiled as
her eyes began to water and blur her vision. She wiped her eyes quickly
and saw that the whole room had the same writing all over it.
"Do saal se yeh yahaan hai. Aur yeh aisa hi karta hai. Deewar par bas
yahi likhta hai" she sighed "Baghwan jaane yeh Mishti kaun hai, jiske
liye yeh itna deewaana bana hai" she said as Taani watched him continue
to write on the wall, happy in his own little world.
"Main hi Mishti hoon" she told the nurse.
"Aap?" she asked, confused
"Haan. Onu ke liye main sirf aur sirf Mishti hoon"
"Onu? Lekin yeh aapko kya lagte hain?"
"Pati hai yeh mera" she told her as she watched him stop to scratch his
head as he looked for a space that was empty to continue to write on the
"Pati?" Shilpa asked Taani.
"Ji" was all she could reply as her eyes were still fixated on her
"Lekin aapko yahaan kabhi nahi dekha?"
"Mujhe aaj hi pata chala ke yeh yahaan hai to meh dori chali aayi"
"Ohh" was all that Shilpa could say.
"Kya hum andar jaasakte?" she asked turning to Shilpa.
"Ji. Aaye na" she opened the door and waited for Taani to walk into the
Taani walked in slowly. She couldn't take her eyes off Anurag. He looked
so different yet he still seemed the same to her.
"Jabse yeh aaya hai yahaan to na yeh bolta hai aur na kisiko sunta hai.
Bas, apni duniya meh rehta hai" Shilpa said behind Taani as she slowly
made her way over to him.
Shilpa was right. He hadn't even looked up to see who was walking into
the room. Anuraag got up to write on the wall and Taani reached forward
and put her hand over his, making him stop what he was doing and
followed the arm to look up at Taani as she smiled down at him.
He studied her face carefully for a few minutes. She continued to smile
warmly at him as he tried to work out in his head who she was. Who was
this woman? Why did she so seem familiar to him? He didn't realise that a
tear had fallen down his cheek until the woman wiped it away for him.
He shrugged her hand off and went back to writing on the wall.
"Onu?" she said and Anurag stopped writing. That voice. Again; the
familiarity. The closeness. Alot of people called him that but it felt
as if it was someone really close to him. But who? He looked up at the
woman and she continued to smile at him. Why was she smiling when there
were tears in her eyes? Why did he feel like wiping those tears away? He
usually didn't care about anything but why, when this woman was crying
right in front of him, did he feel the urge to stop the tears from
falling from her eyes?
