Sujal is working in his office.
He still has a bad headache because of last night.
His phone rings, its an unknown number.
He picks it up.
s-Hello [he says in a bit unsure manner]
'Sujal?'
A female voice comes from other side.
s-yes speaking. Who is this?
'beta main, Kashish ki maa bol rahi hoon'
s-oh aunty aap, [a small ray of hope lights up his heart] kahie naa, kaisi hain?
Ma-I am sorry beta, tumhe aise phone karke disturb kar rahi hoon. Zaruri baat thi to islie...
s-aunty, ye aap kaisi baatein kar rahi hai. You can never disturb me. Baat kya hai? Any problems?
Ma-wo...haan beta, wo Kashish ke papa ki tabiyat bigad gai hai. Wo ICU mein hain, aur Kashish kisi shooting ke maamle mein Brazil gai hai, par wo pata nahi kahan shoot kar arhe hain, contact hi nahi ho paa raha.
s-oh, uncle....aunty main abhi Raiguange aata hoon aap pareshaan mat hoiye
ma-nahi beta, hum Raigaunge mein nahi hain. Los angeles mein hain.

Ma-haan, lagbhag teen mahine ho gaye hain hum sab yahan shift ho gaye hain
s-oh..emm...mujhe pata nahi tha
ma-haan wo Kashish ne achanak hi faislaa...khair...wo tumhare kuch contacts hai naa film line mein to maine socha kit um agar Kashish ko inform...waise Shriram bhi apni puri koshish kar raha hai contact karne ki par, ho nahi paa raha , uske upar Kashish ke papa ke ilaaj ki zimmedaari bhi to uspar...
s-Shriram?
Ma-wo...Shriram se Kashish ki engagement hui hai.
He is freezed for a moment, his throat dries up. Its like a bomb has fallen over him.
He never thought in wildest of his dreams that she would have taken this step. She is engaged to someone else.
Ma-Sujal ! Sujal ! Hello?
s-hmm? Huh? [he comes out if his thoughts]..wo...emm..i'l contact her. [he abruptly hangs up the phone]
sar pakad ke baith jaata hai. Its so difficult for him to digest the fact he just heard.

Kashish was shooting for a scene in the woods of Brazil.
Sujal comes in between the shoot and stands in front of her.
k-tum? Yahan? Shooting chal rahi hai...go.
s-your dad is critical. Come with me
he holds her hand drags her with him.
The director was following him.
Dir-hey stop !
S-its urgent. I spoke to the producer.

Sujal and Kashish rush to the hospital.
She finds her family standing outside the ICU glass and her father is inside.
Kashish is in verge of tears.
k-ma...[she gasps]
mom and her sister hug her.
k-ma..papa kaise?
Mom-pata nahi kuch bata nahi rahe hain
k-Shriram kahan....?
Mom's eyes fall on Sujal.
Mom-tum yahan tak....? Kashish ko chodne aaye...?
He doesn't know what to say
s-namaste aunty
a short Indian guy in doctor's coat approaches them
'Kaasheesh ! you eere ?'
He says to Kashish in his full American accent.
k-Shriram hows he?
Instead of answering her. He looks at Sujal who was standing behind Kashish.
Sr-whos he?
k-he...
sr-is he you boyfriend? Don't you have any character? Huh? You are getting married to me yet you bring your boyfriend along you.
k-no its nothing like....
Sr-yu actually went to Brazil with him
k-no Shriram it was a shoot. He wasn't with me
sr-just shut up !!!!! I know about these actresses and I heard rumours
k-no..believe me..its nothing..like...
Sujal cuts in, its getting very difficult to control his anger and his fist.
s-are you the doctor here?
Sr-yes
s-then go and treat her Dad
sr-you don't have to tell me that I am also her fianc. And I don't want orders from my would be wife's boyfriend, or you are the x-boyfriend. Huh?
Sujal is silent, he is using all his energy to control his anger. He doesn't wanna create a scene in the hospital when her dad is in such a critical situation.
Dr-Kashish, do listen to me carefully. We have a reputation, and I am running it all by marrying a girl like you ;Who dances at people's birthday parties and marriages. Don't ruin it more. Stay in your limits
Her eyes brime with tears and she looks down.
k-yes I will. I am sorry.
Sujal is shocked seeing her reaction, why doesn't she retaliate he wonders. Why is she listening to all the crap from him. Why doesn't she fight like she fights with him. Why is she silent?
But sujal cant take more.
s-stop your damn bulls**t about her !
sr-why who are you to comment? Huh?
Everyone gasps as Shriram holds Sujal's collar and pushes him to the wall.
Shriram- I can say anything about her. She is my would be wife !
Sujal's jaw clenches and his feet tightens as his rage reaches highest point.
But he just silently stands there without a word for her sake, as he knows she would be hurt if at this point when her father is so critical and he creats a scene and most importantly beat his doctor.
Everyone is doubly surprised seeing no reaction from Sujal as everyone specially Kashish knew his anger. So, everyone epected him to react and retaliate in a violent manner.
But he didn't do any such thing, he just stood silently looking at his beloved's eyes while Shriram all the while showered him with cuss words.
