I was never a fan of Hrithik so I don't care whether he exists in the industry because he bores me now

oh come on, his 2 movies got flopped so what?

before Dabang, salman's all movies got flop status in this decade except 3 or 4.

The thing is Hrithik acted well in Guzarish and even Kites, he did his job well, before that Jodha akbar where he did acted well.

so as an actor, i don't think he is a failure because the main job of them is act, he does that well. But agree , he has amazing talent+ looks, he wastes his time, but i think he will be back soon.

Yes.. India has a high illiterate population..... but that has nothing to do with the debacle of Kites and Guzaarish.... They were bad films particularly Kites......Blaming the Indian population and getting in the Literacy and illiteracy facts does not justify the bad film choices Hrithik is making these days....

And yes I have interacted with the illiterate in different parts of India and and for them be it Hrithik or a Johny Lever.... Both are pretty much the same...Wink

So yes it is the literate in India for whom the movies like Dhoom and JA and Krish worked and
Yes...it is the same literates who rejected the recent HR movies...

And coming to the ones who are outside india and the so called educated ones as someone mentioned..... Yes.. the movies were rejected by them too...

Guzaarish fails at overseas box office

By: Taran Adarsh, Bollywood Hungama

Guzaarish hasn't lived up to the expectations in key international markets. The film is below average in U.S.A., but hugely disappointing in U.K. and Australia. In fact, it ranks amongst Hrithik Roshan's lowest openers there. The film has fared better in Middle East. In short, it failed at the overseas box office.

Kites disappoints at overseas box office
By: Taran Adarsh, Bollywood Hungama

Kites has under-performed in the key international markets and let's substantiate it with hardcore facts and figures...

In U.K., the film should've crossed half-a-million Pounds in its opening weekend (including Thursday previews), but the film collected half of what was expected, despite the massive number of screens it was released in. In fact, the screen average of Kites is lower than Jodhaa Akbar, Dhoom 2, Krrish, Koi Mil Gaya, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, Mujhse Dosti Karogi, K3G, Yaadein and Fiza.

In U.S., the film featured in the Top 10 list, which is very, very commendable, but given the number of screens (208), the opening weekend numbers are disappointing. In fact, the film should've collected anywhere between 1.75 million to 2 million in its opening weekend, thanks to so many screens. Here too, the screen average of Kites is lower than Jodhaa Akbar, Dhoom 2, Krrish, Lakshya, Koi Mil Gaya and Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon.

In Australia too, it's the same story. The last two biggies have fetched double of what Kites has fetched in its opening weekend:- My Name Is Khan (Aus. $ 4,37,687 on 37 screens; average: Aus. $ 11,829] and 3 Idiots (Aus. $ 3,98,595 on 20 screens; average: Aus. $ 19,930; Christmas holidays).
