LOLLOLLOL   humour me, will ya....!   TongueTongueTongue

how many outsiders have had success in the film industry...??   do you even know how many people aspire to be actors/actresses, models, singers, cricketers...??   do you know out of those, what the success ratio is...???   TongueTongueTongueTongue  buhat talented aaye aur gaye, after tasting failure... and even more talented people came and went after years of struggle and never getting a chance... people waste their entire life trying to achieve something which they can't.... that is the reason why most people play it safe... you have to be realistic, not idealistic in life....!!   TongueTongue

ek hi line baar baar bolne se baat sach nahin ho jaati... duniya dekho, seekho, phir debate karna... your disneyland does not has any place in the real world... and that is a fact, which you will never understand....!!   TongueTongueTongue   us ke liye samajh aur experience chahiye...!   WinkTongueTongueTongue

p.s.  i did not say that a university degree is everything... stop living in your bubble and please, understand what the other person is saying before making your conclusions...!!   TongueTongue  every person is different... one should be realistic... not be idealistic... TongueTongue

I wouldn't say it's overrated, but it's scope is very limited. according to our society, education is limited to doctor, engineer, lawyer and MBA. anything beyond that is either not education at all or even if it is, then it's not adequate. 'talent' is merely a hobby and should be pursued along with your 'real' education as a stress buster.

I don't understand why talent and education should be two different realms. isn't exploring your talent a form of education? I feel calling education simply the process of getting a graduate degree is equivalent to limiting it's scope and reach.

and I completely agree with you when you say that one should always follow the path where his/her heart actually lies. law and commerce notes are merely crutches that we use to 'safeguard' our future. so much for 'education'.

there are many other fields, which are probably not considered 'worthy'.... the top position is not everything in life... but that does not mean that education is a waste of one's time...!  kab kahan kya cheez kaam aa jaaye, you never know...

but i have seen a lot of people waste their life in chasing dreams... being just talented is not enough... you need to be exceptional... and most people unfortunately are somewhere in the middle... india has a huge population... and unfortunately, even getting a job at a call center needs a degree now... and even in most industries.... competition is very tough, har cheez mein...!!
