Sorry for this late update.. I know I am updating after a long time but I am caught up with a lot of things and also because I was unable to see how to move the story... I have updated the next part hope you guys like it... I cannot promise when the next update will be but whenever I update you guys willl definetly know first..

PART 27
He looked at the tiffin box that she had brought.
The hunger within him suddenly resurfaced seeing it. He went ahead to reach it and then he had a starking flaskback '.,
And her voice "You definetly be mad at me but don't please don't vent your anger on food'.. you need to eat healthy"
He sat down on the chair'. He decided to eat it
His collegues called him outside for lunch but he was just not willing to go out with them'. He sat quietly and ate.
Immediately he received a call on his office number. It was an urgent call and he had leave his food and attend the meeting. He left the food and went '..
It took him almost the entire day andhe reached back to his desk only after 6pm. As he entered his room he sat on the sofa'. Loosened his tie and tried to relax and then he happened to see the open lunch box'' He closed the box and started to walk towards his car'.. he sat in the car and started driving''He drove home quietly and reached home safely'. He parked the car and came in It was around 7 when he reached home everyone was at home when he entered
No one was in the room everyone was in the house but not in the living room at that point. Riddhima and Ananya were in the kitchen Riddhima heard the door open and she sensed that Armaan must have come' She waited patiently to know whether he had eaten or not'. The truth was that she had avoided eating too because she felt that he was not eating because of her'. He came to the kitchen and looked into her eyes'.. He greeted and hugged his mom and handed the lunch box''' saying that he will be back after freshing up he left giving Riddhima another lasting glance''
Riddhima lurched towards the lunch box while Ananya was busy with something and quickly opened it'.. She saw that it was eaten half way and '. She saw'.. there was a note left.. she turned around to see who was watching seeing that no one was she immediately grabbed the note and hid it in her hand'.. and Ananya turned immediately so she did not get the time to read the note'.
She kept the note close to herself and helped Ananya with the Dinner. In a while everyone came to the dining table but Armaan was still not back yet. Riddhima started serving food to everyone glancing in the direction of her room every now and then just to make sure that he comes. He eventually started from his room and she saw him coming. Immediately she changed her gaze to another direction but it did not go unnoticed by him. He started walking downstairs wondering whether she read it or not.
Reaching the dining table he sat and started taking his food when Riddhima came and offered him some of the dishes that were made. He took some of them and started eating.
The Dinner was normal for them all with a little bit of chit-chat and little bit of masti.
Finally when the Dinner was over Riddhima, Muskaan and Anjali started to clear the dishes while everyone else waited and talked. Armaan was still restless. He wanted to know what was her reaction to his writing but he couldn't judge it by the way she was behaving because she was behaving very normally.
A while later Ananya and Bill retired to their rooms stating tiredness. Armaan was still outside. Muskaan saw this. She signaled Anjali that they two should go so that Riddhima and her bhai could have some time. So Muskaan made up an excuse that she was tired and had to wake up early tomorrow and hence started to leave and took Anjali with her. Riddhima smiled at them and started to finish up the remaining work not noticing that Armaan was still sitting in the living room.
She finished up the remaining work and then she started to leave to her room completely forgetting the note that was hidden in the kitchen drawer. As she came out of the kitchen she saw Armaan sitting by the living room. She halted. He turned in her direction and started to get up. And then she realized that he had given her a note and she completely forgot about it''.
She didn't know what to do'..
He was worried now regarding her reaction to the note that he had written. Although it was a simple writing he was still worried. She was still standing there and he started walking towards her. This time she looked at him and just waited. He came close to her and there was a moment of silence between them and then at once he called her name and she called his.
Another moment of silence passed in.
Armaan took It on me to start the conversation
"Riddhima'.." he started hoping that she would say something but sensing that she is not saying anything he continued "Riddhima I wanted to apologize for behaving the way I did when you brought me lunch today''"
Riddhima at this point stopped fidgeting with her saree.
He noticed it. She could utter nothing more that a simple, "Its Ok"
Another moment of silence passed between them and Armaan thinking that she doesn't want to talk about it started to leave. She interrupted him saying, " Armaan" he stopped in his way and turned back to face her, she continued, " You don't have to say sorry'.. I understand why you behaved in a certain manner"
"My only question to you is that the tiffin was halfway eaten''''''
''. Was there some urgent work that cropped up?"
"Yes Riddhima I had an urgent meeting that I had to attend and hence I couldn't finish the food."
She said, " hmmm ok"
He said, " Ummm I have to go to work tomorrow and you might have to wake up early too right so lets go"
She nodded and they started walking together back to the room''.
They reached the room and she went towards the cupboard to remove her night dress and he waited and went by his computer to check his mail.
She gave him a glance while walking to the washroom but he was busy checking his mails.
A while later she came out he turned in her direction gave her a smile, she gave him a smile back, and then started to retire to the bed. He then turned off the computer and went to the washroom. A while later he came and saw that Riddhima was already asleep, he smiled and started to the bed to sleep. He was tired today so in a short while sleep came to him.
Riddhima however was still awake on the other end. She turned to face him after realizing that he must have gone to sleep. She kept looking at him. And then she remembered the note that was tucked away in the kitchen drawer She now knew what it must have included but she was still curious and she had to be careful that no one else found it. So she got up and started to go to the kitchen trying to make as little noise as possible.
She reached the kitchen and went to the drawer and carefully opened it. The note was still there.
She reached out to it and read it
"I am sorry RIDDHIMA" is what it said.
And then she remembered the days events the way he had approached her to talk about it and how she had talked to him. She felt that somewhere she was not being right to him''
She went upstairs and tried to sleep but the thought kept haunting her''. Until she had to get up at 4 am.
Devoid of sleep she was up but the thoughts did not leave her.
She went to shower and got ready and then she went downstairs.
Although she had tried to keep the voice to the minimum but somehow the commotion woke up Armaan. He wondered as to why was Riddhima awake this early but he waited to see what she does. He saw that she dressed up and started to go downstairs he followed behind closely but so that she could not see him'..
Since she was up so early she did not know what to do she went downstairs and out in the courtyard. She sat by the chair and just stared in front into empty space.
Armaan was close behind her.. he wondered why did Riddhima get up so early but he was afraid that he went and asked her something she might not answer and just retrieve more into her shell.
He waited'.
She was thinking about everything that had happened to her'so far''.
She fell in love with someone' however due to circumstances they could not meet '. But as fate had it in his hands' she met him again and this time after surpassing through so much together with Armaan' she had felt that things could go to normal'. But after learning about everything else and after Armaan asking her permission to start their life together afresh'. she had stepped back''.
And then yesterday when she took food for him the way he behaved with her it hurt her'. But then she realized she had hurt him too'..when she had rejected his proposal to start everything afresh.. wait a minute ' she thought to herself It was not a deal I had my reservations and him he is treating me that ways just because I said that he thinks he loves me when in reality he was just feeling an emptiness because someone close to him had left and she was around him when that happened so that he could easily connect with her''
She stared into nothingness ahead her
She thought, "Armaan'. I love you'. And you know that'. But it is so difficult for me to fall in love again when I am already in love. You might think that I am being harsh but there is nothing I can do" she wiped a tear that formed on her cheek "this is the best for both of us Armaan'.. because I have surfaced once but this time if something happens' I wil break down completely'.. hence its better that I distance myself more from you"
Armaan was still staring at her from behind unawre of what she was thinking''''
Suddently an alarm rang somewhere'..
Riddhima turned at the same moment that Armaan hid behind a wall and turned of his cell phone alarm''
Riddhima was now scared.. Who could it be'.
Could it be her mother in law or Billy? No she thought to herself'. Because Ananya wakes up around 7 and it was not even 5 yet'. And she wakes up Billy' so No..
Could it be Muskaan or Anji'.. No she thought because they have never gotten up this early'.
That left only one option''
She started to move towards where the noise had come from'..carefully''.
Shecame to a halt before turning around to see whoever might be standing there and then she turned to the wall'. But there was no one there''
If it was not Armaan she thought then who else'.
To make sure that it was not Armaan she went up to her room and checked.. Armaan was sleeping on the bed'.. She started to turn when she noticed something'''..The phone next to Armaan's bedside was still vibrating as if the alarm was put on snooze and vibrate'.. She immediately left out making it seem that she left unsuspiciously' but she stayed outside to hear what he does'..
Seeing her leave he got up immediately and turned of the phone'. He sat up and stared into where she had left from
"Riddhima" he whispered.. "I wish I could be closer to you so you wouldn't have to hide your own thoughts from me"
She heard this and turned to the wall with her back facing it and sighed as if in an assertive way. To herself, "I wish I could tell you everything about me Armaan every emotion I go through'. But It is not easy for me'..I '. I don't want to be hurt again'.Armaan"
She then walked downstairs and in the kitchen .

i just don't get it when riddhima loves armaan. what is stopping her to confess it. to let armaan know about it.why can't they start over.hoping to get answers to my question in the upcoming parts.please continue soon.
