Scene 6
Vandana started waving eagerly, her face lit with excitement, towards the oncoming couples and jawahar.
Sidharth, who was now holding divya's hand rushed up to his mother , dragging her along.
Ma, aapnay wakay main hi miss ker diya. Kithna maza aya tha aaj, he went on
Ithna maza tho mujhe papa kay saath aya tha jab hum trecking per gaye thay. Yaad hai ma? He continued upon which Vandana's face turned a bit sad but she composed herself very quickly
Meray khayal main humay luch kerlena chahiye, aur phir hum bilaspur sey Dalhousie ki taraf niklayngay. Suggested viren
Niveditha thum aur Divya andhar ja ker apnay kapray badal lo, kahin tand na lag jaye, vandana urged them towards the RV.
Han han chalo chalo , rushed viren with them
Thum kahan chalay asked vandana, holding his ears dragging him back
Are tayiji main bhi tho bheeg gaya hun. Kiyun big bro, kya hum change nahi karayn? Humain bhi tho tand lag sakthi hai 'kiyun bhai? He asked sidharth.
Han ma.. main bhi chaltha hun started sidharth and threw vandana off guard. This was the first time she had seen sidharth being so expressive about his feelings in a long time.
Then she went ahead and pulled his ears as well
Pehlay undono ko badalnay do phir thum chalay jana, badmash kahin kay she laughed out '
oo.. ouch'ka..aan cried both Viren and Sidharth together.
Nivi and Divya rushed inside giggling both red in faces and not making eye contacts with each other. They were too embarrassed to talk so they took out their clothing form their bags and went into the bathrooms and changed.
Vandana came inside and passed some sitting chairs and mats to be placed outside.
Viren and sidharth came inside to get changed. They approached the kitchen counter where they found Niveditha and Divya busy with vandana helping the cook prepare their lunch.
Sidharth while passing through the counter made an eye contact with divya who looked away from him turning red continued helping vandana.
A
few minutes later , the entire place was set for lunch. Bhupat rai was being
helped by Yashodhara joined by Chanchal and jawahar who were sitting on a
separate mat near them.
The
front of the RV was automatically pushed in to reveal an opening that linked
the inside kitchen with the outside. Niveditha was standing behind the counter
and giving out things for the others to enjoy. Viren who decided to help
niveditha, took the filled plates of food to everyone.
It
was a very nice moment. Bhupat rai seemed to be enjoying this scenery rather
than the lush green mountains of Himachal. The thought of his family together
gave him more content than anything in the world.
After an hour, everyone climbed inside the RV to head towards Dalhousie passing via bilaspur.
Dalhousie
Humain
abhi Dalhousie pahunchnay main teen sey char ghantay lag sakthay hain. Depend
kertha hai traffic per announced the driver for the general knowledge of all
members abhi panch baj rahe hain tho jathay jathay 9 baj jayengay raath kay he
continued.
Meray khayal main humayn thori dair rest ker lena chahiye , vandana suggested to everyone. Everyone took their seats and started getting comfortable.
Sidharth urged divya to sit besides him
Divya
who usually loved his company, and made excuses to be with him, tried avoiding
him and went near chanchal and started talking with her. Sidharth glared at her
confused and turned back to a magazine that was lying in front of him.
Niveditha
,went back to her seat and found viren laying comfortably with his legs
stretched and eyes closed. She did not wish to disturb him but was very
exhausted.
Viren, she called out slowly but then she noticed that he had ear phones plugged in his ears. She slowly pulled up off and viren opened flickered his eyes open.
Oh
sorry, maine dekha nahi.. aao baito he called her immediately pulling his legs
towards himself.
Nividetha
smiled at him and slowly sat down. She kept her legs on her side and tried to
get as comfortable as she could with that position.
Viren , who had noticed her behavior, shook his head with exasperation and touched her legs attempting to place them in front of her so that she could get comfortable. Niveditha quickly reacted
Ye
kya ker rahe ho, she said looking around wishing that no one had seen them.
Don't
worry koi nahi dekhega saray busy hain thum please apnay paon upper rakh lo
warna mujhe rakhna parega zaberdasti.
Niveditha
placed her legs in front of her but she folded them in an unusual manner not
wishing for them to touch his legs. Viren put his index finger on his lips and
touched her legs , she gave them a slight jerk
SHhhh..
Viren asked her to hush while he pulled her legs towards him and placed them on
his right side and he himself extended his towards her right. He then pushed
open a button that revealed a drinking slide table that rose up on the open
side of the sofa bed. He placed
two glasses filled with two juices and offered one to Niveditha who politely
refused with a nod. Viren urged her to drink it when she sneezed out loud.
Oh
! thumhay tho zukham ho gaya hai.. He said in a worried tone.
He
got out of his side and rushed towards the cabinet and returned with medicine.
Main tee'tee.. aaachu'.tekh hun she said with a loud sneeze
Han dikh raha hai, retorted viren annoyed and shoved the tablets onto her hands, and placing the glass of juice in front of her. Niveditha, knew better than to argue simply took the medicine
Viren
took out a blanket and placed it on her and asked her lay down comfortably.
Viren
main teek hun niveditha tried arguing but viren hushed her and pointed her to
close her eyes and sleep.
It
was may be few hours later, Niveditha woke up with a start as the RV gave a
sudden jerk. They had come to a hault. It seemed like they had reached
Dalhousie. The outside sky was dark but they had parked in a special parking
area that had been reserved by viren ahead of time. Niveditha looked for viren
and found him helping others get off the RV. She quickly got up, folded the
blanket and placed it on top of the bed. She rushed off towards the exit and
apologized to vandana profusely only to be told off by her.
Nivi
, thum bhi na, acha kiya viren nay ki thumnay nahi utaya' abhi kaisa mahsoos
ker rahi ho? sar dard aur zukham kuch kam hua? Vandana asked kindly caressing
her head.
Han
chachiji main acha feel ker rahi hun abh. She replied.
Nivi,
thu teekh hai na came the voice of divya behind her. Viren nay mujhe teray paas
anay sey sakhth mana ker diya tha. Main tho dekhna chahthi thi ki kahin thumhay
bukhar tho nahi hai, lekin voh khudh hi paas baita raha aur hum main sey kisi
ko bhi thumhaaray paas anay hi nahi diyaa.. she continued
Niveditha
felt grateful towards viren's behavior. His care had increased hundreds folds
after they had gotten married. There wasn't a day that passed when he hadn't
tried to help her or taken care of her.
Then viren came up to her and asked her about her health. After reassuring himself by touching her forehead, he allowed her to get down.
She
was greeted with fresh cool breeze, a cloudless sky and a brilliantly blazing
silver moon. There was a green area where viren had already set up 2 huge tents
and in the middle there was a campfire lit, burning intensely.
Viren
and sidharth helped everyone to settle down. All of them had dinner served by
the resort caterers.
Viren!
Wow kya planning ki hai. Said sidharth taking a hot sizzling burger onto his
plate and helping himself to smoking corn.
Viren
patted himself on his back but his mind was all on niveditha. He came towards
her with food and offered it to her.
Mujhe
bhuk nahi hai viren she said.
But
viren insisted that either she eats it or he would force feed her.
Kabhi kabhi thumnay na bachon ki tarah zid kerkay manana pertha hai , he said annoyed.
Main
aur zid? Replied niveditha raising her eyebrows in surprise.
Main bachon ki tarah behave kerthi hun? She said
Viren
gave her an annoyed look and niveditha understood that, it was not the right
time for her to argue with him. There was sadness in her heart that she
couldn't quite explain. After eating few morsels she left to wash her hands and
then moved away from the hustle and bustle of the family.
Viren
had chosen the best place, she thought as she saw a beautiful pond few yards
ahead of her. It had the sparkliest shine she had ever seen as if it was not a
pond but some one had placed a huge mirror on the floor that reflected the sky
onto it.
Scene 7
Niveditha
took of her slippers and put them on the side. She could feel the cool soft
spongy feel of the grass below. She sat down 4 feet away from the pond gazing
at it fondly, placing her hands behind her and making her body fall back a
little. The air around her filled her eyes and tears unknown to her came
flowing down that suddenly there was a finger on her cheek stopping their way.
She saw a finger in front of her holding a teardrop that glittered in the moonlight. The face of viren became visible through her blurry vision.
He
came and knelt besides her and kissed the teardrop.
I
am sorry, said viren.
Niveditha,
looked up at him and turned her face away trying to wipe her tears away, just
then viren came closer towards her slowly. Her hands were already placed behind
and if she had decided to take them forward, she would loose balance and fall
on her back, So she stayed put staring into his deep brown eyes.
He
shook his head, telling her not to wipe her precious tear away and slowly came
towards her. He drenched himself in her fragrance as he moved forward as if
breathing in something that would intoxicate him for the rest of his life.
He
steadily kissed her left eyes and then the right eye, allowing his lips to wash
away her tears.
Viren, thum kya ker rahe ho, said niveditha suddenly noticing that he was
holding her teardrop on his fingers.
Viren
came back to his senses and saw that, he had just been dreaming
He took her teardrop and showed it to her, then slowly took it towards his pocket and placed it in there.
With a smile he sat besides her and said
I
am sorry! Mujhe thumpay naraz nahi hona chahiye tha.
Maine
bura nahi mana viren, she replied though not quite meeting his eyes.
She did not know why she felt that way; heaviness had taken over her heart - A cloud shielding the brilliance of a moon.
Viren
took her hands slowly into his, caressing it with gentle strokes. Feeling the
softness of her skin and letting the warmth of his pass into hers,
Mujhe
bohot takleef hui thi , meri vajay sey thum bemaar pari . Agar main zid nahi
kertha tho thum rafting per nahi aathi aur bemaar bhi nahi hothi he continued
with a sad tone.
Nivedita's
heart lightened up at those words.
Viren
, main ana chahthi thi, she replied
Thumhari wajay sey main aaj ek bohot khubsurat yadgar banayi hai, thank you.. she replied with a smile
Her
smile was everything for him and once it had appeared on her face, viren's
sadness vanished. He then lay down on the grass gazing at the sky looking into
the stars, as if to thank the ONE who had Created them.
He
then turned towards nivi and slightly pushed her hands, due to which she lost
her balance and fell back onto his hands. He had placed it below to avoid her
head getting hurt.
Viren giggled looking at her hair being all over her face and her rubbing the back of her head.
Viren, ouch , dard ho raha hai.. she said
Kuch nahi hotha replied viren and diverted her attention towards the cloudless beautiful sky. It was as if the entire creation was overlapping itself and the sky was wrapping them under its vast blanket.
Niveditha's
attention turned towards the sky and she started gazing at the stars with
viren. The sky left them both in silent amazement.
The
stars that came into existence millions of years ago seemed to be there, as if
waiting for them alone. Each of them shining brightly and silently bringing a
sign or a message unknown to their world but known to their hearts.
Viren
humain jana chahiye, niveditha said, gharwalay pareshan ho rahe hongay
Koi kuch nahi kahengay, main bataker aaya hun tayiji ko. Viren replied back without looking at her
.
They could hear the silent water moments, moving as if not wanting to disturb those around it.
Shh
viren said, suno, jharnay ki awaaz lagtha hai paas main koi jharna hai said
viren.
Niveditha
could hear the sounds of the falling water, it was the most amazing and relaxing
sound that she heard.
Viren took her hands into his and put it under his and continued gazing into the stars
