Part 27

Fog envelops the jungle, wreathing misty shapes amongst the branches of the trees. Behind a huge, ancient tree stands Panchhi, her eyes closed, her mouth moving continuously as she counts...

Panchhi: Nine hundred ninety-eight. Nine hundred ninty-nine. One

thousand. One thousand one. One thousand two........................

[She continues.]

Misha is still unconscious. And she dreams too. It's normal for her though - humans do sleep and dream.

~~~Dream Sequence Starts~~~

Misha is walking along a corridor in the college with Pia, when a guy collides with her. Misha stops to yell at him, but he walks on. She cannot see his face, but his hairstyle interests her. She looks at the way he walks - all his masculine strength on display. Her jaw drops. Her hair stands up. Her eyes open wide. And her bag falls on to the floor. A wind starts blowing, and blows her heart away.

Minutes pass by as she watches him stride away.

Then Pia nudges her.

She doesn't feel it.

Pia pushes her.

She lets her.

Pia pulls her and shakes her.

She gets shaken.

A note from his file flies towards her.

She runs to catch it.

Holding it up to her nose, she breathes in deeply.

Pia yells.

Misha wants to know.

Misha: Kaun hai yeh, jisne dobaara mudke mujhe nahin dekha? *Pia shrugs* Who is he? Oh. My. Gosh!!

[T and Tracker's bimbos come dancing. Music plays...Song starts]

Misha (dreamily): Deewana hai dekho beqaraar woh...

Bimbos: Hoooo...

Pia (teasingly): Sambhaalo sambhaalo, na pyaar ho...

Bimbos: Hooo....

Panchhi: Apna bana ke dekho, dil na chura le woh...aisa kyun lage hai bolo na...

Misha: Jhum chik chik jhum tum bolo hai woh kaun jo...baar baar yeh dil khota hai dekh ke usko...

[The guy comes behind her and puts his arms around her. Misha smiles, but doesn't turn.]

Misha: Who are you?

Guy (putting his lips close to her ear): Pintoo.

Misha: WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

~~~Dream Sequence Ends~~~

Misha wakes up, screaming and sweating.

Misha (panting heavily): Oh...it was just a dream. (angrily) Tu aa yahaan Pintoo ke bacche...dekh loongi tujhe!

Panchhi (still in the jungle): One thousand eight hundred and seventy eight. One thousand eight hundred and seventy nine........

In the Raichand Haveli, Pia screams. Chaand feels scared.

Chaand (yelling): Bhoot!!! Chudail!!! Bachaaoooooo!!!!!!!

[Abhay tries to calm them down, but without success. Sid puts a hand on Abhay's shoulder and gestures to him to stand aside.]

Pia (suddenly calm): Mujhe bhookh lagi hai.

Chaand (calm too): Mujhe bhi. Do you want Roohafza, bahuraani?

Pia (puzzled): Uncle?

Abhay (blushing fiercely): GET OUT!! Jaao kitchen mein!! *pushes Chaand away*

Chaand: Toh dhakka toh mat maaro! (turning to Pia) Piaaaaaaaa....come!

[Pia and Chaand go into the kitchen.]

Sid: So. Abhay. My dearest little brother.

Abhay (sharply): Aur kitne hain?

Sid: Jealous hmm? (Abhay looks away) Aww! Cutie! *pulls Abhay's cheeks*

Abhay (pushing him away): Oh go away!! *smiles secretly*

Sid: Not like this little brother. Pehle mujhe meri bhabhi se toh milne do.

Abhay: Woh tumhaari bhabhi nahin hai!

Sid: Okay..tumhaari bhabhi then.

[Abhay lunges at him. Sid side-steps him and laughs. Haseena wakes up.]

Haseena (angrily): STOP IT!!!!!
