I cudnt fast buh my family did!!
Im muslim my mums indian (converted) my dads muslim.
My islamic name is sania buh i woz named Preeti after my mums bestest friend who died.

N'ways enough of the family history.

Think again for yourself Not just the Grandson but his entire family including 6 month old son was martyed. Please go and read the history of Islam.

the reason why we fast is because it was the day that Allah saved Musa (AS) from Firawn by splitting the red sea

the jews were fasting on the 10th Muharram and the Prophet (SAW) saw and he said that us muslims are closer to him than the jews so he said that we should fast and to diffrenciate us from the jews we fast on the 9th and 10th or the 10th and 11th.

 

We dont fast because of the Maytr.
