Its morning
Dutta still in his sleep moves his hand on the bed and finds the other side empty. He turns around looks at nakkus picture and smiles , just then he hears a knock and the servant enters with a cup tea " bhau vaheni ne apke liye chai bheji hai." Dutta gets up , rubs his eyes and asks " woh khudh kahan hai ?"
" jee vaheni neeche kaam kar rahi hain , unhone kaha aaj main hi chai le jaaon" and leaves the room. Dutta is disappointed first not to see her when he got up and then being served tea by someone else. Every morning she wakes him up though knowing very well that he is fully awake but doesn't open his eyes till she is around and then she has bed tea with him quietly with no words exchanged between them as words hardly played an important part in their relationship , it was always their eyes and their hearts who conveyed their feelings to each other. Though nothing special or romantic about this daily routine but still it makes him feel at peace and secured just to have her around and today his morning felt incomplete without her presence.
The scene shifts to the kitchen
Nakku is kneading the dough when maya enters. Nakku looks at her guiltily " maya kal raat jo hua uske liye sorry , maine aur sahab ne tumse theekh se baat nahin ki. Main kuch zyada hi pareshan thi." Maya walks to her and gives her a reassuring look" koi baat nahin nakku , kabhi kabhi aisa ho jata hai , mujhe bilkul bura nahin laga." Nakku smiles at her " sahab bahut khushkismat hain ki unhe tum aur baaji jaise dost mile." Maya takes her hand in hers and says " nahin nakku , hum toh hamesha se dutta ki zindagi mein the lekin tumne aa kar uski zindagi mein khushiyan bhar di." Nakku gives her a weak smile" mera ek kaam karogi ? sahab ke liye nashta bana dogi?." Maya looks surprised" main?." nakku indicates towards her hands filled with flour " mujhe aur bhi kaam hain." Maya gives in to her wish and makes breakfast for dutta.
The scene shifts to the dining hall where the whole patil family is having breakfast
AS: dutta aaj raat ko tumne aur nakku ne kisi shaadi mein jaana hai nah
Dutta: jee AS yahan se thoda door hai toh waqt lag jayega pahunchne mein
Nakku looks at AS : AS meri tabiyet theekh nahin lag rahi , isliye main jaa nahin paungi
Kala : koi baat nahin maya chali jayegi , tum ghar par aaram karo
AS (unhappy): nahin , nahin shaadi ke baat dutta akele jaata achcha nahin lagta. Jaoge toh tum dono jaoge nahin toh koi nahin jayega.
Kala(irritated): aap theekh keh rahin hain AS , aur waise bhi jaana toh raat ko hai nah , vaheni pura din aaram karengi toh theekh ho jayengi , phir dutta , maya aur yeh saath chale jayenge.
Baaji(excited): kya tai aap mujhe bhool gaye? Agar yeh teeno jayenge toh main bhi jayega saath mein
AS (happy): haan yeh theekh rahega aur nakku beta tumhein kya hua?
Nakku: AS subhah se thode chakkar aa rahe hain
Dutta(worried): toh koi dawaai lee kya?
Nakku: nahin , aaram karoongi toh theekh ho jaungi
AS: toh beta phir aaram kyun nahin karti ? hum sab ke liye nashta banana ki kya zaroorat thi
Maya serves dutta breakfast prepared by her when kala interrupts" kya baat hai bhau ke liye alag se nashta, lagta hai vaheni ne bade pyar se banaya hai." Dutta takes a bite and knows immediately that nakku has not made it, he looks at her disappointingly for neglecting her health to make breakfast for everybody but not him so he leaves the plate as it is. Maya feels bad and asks him " kya hua achcha nahin laga." Dutta looks at nakku and replies before leaving" nahin bahut achcha hai lekin mujhe bhookh nahin hai."
In the evening maya and roops are in tashas room selecting a saree for nakku while nakku is lost and worried because of the caller.
Maya : nakku dekho maine tumhare liye yeh haree (green) rang ki saree nikali hai tum yahi pehanana shaadi mein
Roops(excited): nahin aap meri vaheni ho toh aap meri pasand ki saree pahenogee , yeh neeli (blue) wali kitni cute hai nah
Nakku gives both of them a weak smile and doesn't reply. Just then dutta enters to see both maya and roops trying to convince nakku to wear a saree of their choice. He picks up his clothes taken out by nakku and goes to change. After some time when he comes out changed he still finds both of them trying their best to convince nakku while she gives them a helpless look not wanting to break any of their hearts by selecting one of the sarees. Dutta walks to the cupboard takes out an orange saree and keeps it on the bed. Nakku looks at him while he leaves the room silently.
Dutta all ready to drive waits for everybody in the car. The front seat door opens ans dutta on seeing the orange saree asks " chalen nakku?" but is surprised to see maya wearing it instead of nakku. He gives her a questioning look " woh nakku ne kaha ki woh peeche aaram se baithna chahti hai isliye main aage baith jaoon." Dutta nods his head and stares at the steering wheel. Nakku sits quietly with baaji behind and kala comes out to see them off "arey maya tumhari saree toh bahut sundar lag rahi hai ."maya smiles and answers back" yeh nakku ne mujhe di hai , kaha mujh par achchi lagegi." Dutta tightens his grip on the wheel on hearing this and looks at nakku through the rear view mirror but she lowers her head and doesn't meet his eye.
Dutta starts driving and thinks about nakkus of late change in behavior. It worries him as he is unable to reason out why she is trying to distance herself from him , what is it that is bothering her so much that she has stopped smiling and always thinks of ways to avoid him. Soon it starts pouring hard and maya turns on the music and the following song plays

Who bheegi bheegi yaadein
Nakku looks at dutta from behind and curses herself for breaking his heart. Tears well up in her eyes as she remembers all the beautiful moments spent with him. She gazes at the sky and feels that tonight even the clouds are mourning with her and punishing her for inflicting pain on her beloved. She closes her eyes and rests her head on the window silently. The song continues

Dutta looks back at her helplessly and feels miserable on seeing her dull face. He clenches his jaw tightly and thinks hard to figure out the reason behind her getting tensed. It rains harder and dutta indicates baaji quietly that they are going back to PN . nakku unaware of this dozes off , dutta sees her sleeping uncomfortably so stops the car in midway and swaps places with baaji. Nakkus head resting on the window jerks a little and is about to fall down when dutta immediately moves closer as a result her head falls on his shoulder. After a minute nakku in her sleep realizes may be she is resting her head on baajis shoulder and wakes up instantly but finds dutta instead. Understanding her worry he gives her a reassuring look and lays her head on his lap. This time nakku doesn't protest and goes off to sleep. Dutta takes out his coat and covers her protectively. He moves his hand through her hair trying to sooth out her pain.
On reaching back home nakku wakes up , gets out of the car and starts walking but feels dizzy and loses her balance. Maya holds her and helps her out but she faints in her arms. Dutta picks her up immediately and starts climbing the steps to their room. In between nakku gains conscious and looks at dutta carrying her " sahab main chali jayegi , aap chod do." Dutta worried about her health ignores her plea and continues to climb " sahab maine kaha nah main theekh hoon , aap chodte kyun nahin mujhe aur waise bhi mujhe yeh roz roz ki zidd pasand nahin." Dutta tightens his grip around her and replies angrily" mujhe bhi yeh bachon wali zid pasand nahin."on reaching their room he lays her down carefully and covers her with a duvet.
After changing he joins her and as a matter of habit wraps his arm around her but nakku immediately moves his hand away. Dutta now completely irritated with her behavior turns away and lies on his back.nakku unable to sleep keeps tossing and turning , missing his protective arm around her, so slowly moves towards him thinking he must have slept by now. She rest her head on his shoulder and cuddles up to him , soon she goes off to sleep . dutta smiles at her childish behavior and draws her closer, he places a soft feather like kiss on her forehead and she murmurs in her sleep "sahab". Dutta moves her hair falling on her face and thinks her days starts and night ends with his name on her lips then why is she trying to move away from him, no matter how hard she tries but she cant stay away from him then what is it that is even making her attempt to do so. He raises his arm to wrap around her but stops thinking what if she shrugs off again but then who cares. Nakku snuggles closer to him in his secured embrace and soon dutta also drifts off to sleep
