its not a question of accent, but the grammar..first of all, they do not need to speak english...and next, if they speak, they need to do justice to the language.

not all persons need to be well versed in english...seemaji is not educated, she does not feel shamed to say she does not know how to read or write, she is so honest, no show off...Germans give a damn to english...but these women speak english to show off that they can speak in english...but the day, they face someone who knows proper english, they will be utterly screwed...

my plain question...why speak in English, if you dont know the language..its like, .if one does not know how to dance, why claim and show off ...

this discussion is very much valid, as being a viewer, I can ask "why showing disrespect to a language"..

What shweta spoke the wrong word in English.OMG that is such a big crime .How can she do that.I mean so what if in the paper that BB gave to shweta Stilettos was written in English .She should have converted it in Hindi and spoken. How dare she pronounce a word in English wrongly .No body ever does that. Now this point has also been added in the long list of ST haters for why they hate her.And it should be also because what she did was very wrong

I think along with sleep, constantly uttering English (that too wrong english) is also against rules, as also the wrong english, as said by the women of the house, Sara, Sweta, Dolly and Veena are just hilarious..

except Aanchal,
not anyone has a proper sense of English usage...I dont know why these ladies make such mockeries of themselves...I have heard Sweta, Sara and Veena uttering.." he want" instead of "he wants"...LOL

this discussion will base on the proper and improper use of English language in the show: very much as per the rule of the show.
first let me apologise if i end up hurting u but the post itself has many grammatical mistakes ( highlighted in red)...so i guess it's pretty pointless to discuss the matter at hand...although even i am a stickler for pronunciation and grammar while speaking any language ...i think in these reality shows we should just have fun instead...plus in my experience i've always noticed ppl using english to hide their insecurities...so there may be something there.....

Yes, Veena and Shweta also make mistakes but I think Sara was the worst. She never added an "s" to 3rd Person Singular of Present Tense.

Samir studied in US so he is used to the American accent and sounds great.

But dont blame ST bcuz she had to say the 'steeltoe' bcuz it was written in tht paper its not like the paper said heels/pumps buh said it the wrong way.

Then there is Veena who is such a wannabe she will never-ever learn to say certain things the right way. I bet some words jalapeno and lingerie she wud pronounce them the way they are written so it is impossible to expect correct pronounciation from her.

Kya post hai Clap Defend Shweta for not pronouncing a word properly (she said it atleast 3/4 times hun, don't kid yourself about it being written as "steeltoe") and then bash Veena saying she will never learn to say things the right way LOL Veena & Shweta both mis-pronounce words since it is neither of theirs first language, but when Shweta does it it's because "that's how english is taught in India" ROFL Wow, as if Veena's studied abroad and should be expected to KNOW how to pronounce everything right!

----------------------------------

Seriously.. I don't get this logic. I agree with whoever said they should make a conscious effort to NOT speak English.. in BB, it seems like they always make a conscious effort to speak it. What happened to the famous phrase "inferiority complex" that is used so often for Veena, MT and whoever else?! It applies here too, big time. In this sense, I've got a lot of respect for someone like MT (never thought I would say that).. at least he doesn't shy away from the fact that he can't speak English, Salman always targeted him on Fridays as well with his jokes (as if Salman's English is so great.. what a freaking joke! They all speak in the bloody same way and still look down on each other!).. but MT took it sportingly. Hats off to him, and yeah.. Thakurain as well Clap

I'm not too sure about Veena's educational background, but neither Shweta nor Sara are well read or informed about the English language as is evident from all that we've witnessed & they're both clueless at times about the usage of apt words in accordance with situations they sometimes find themselves in.

ST going into the CR & addressing BB as God was a classic example.
Perhaps it's more of a mental block the desire to 'fit in' to a specific mould to conform, hence the need to assert & announce that they too can speak English irrespective of how juvenile or substandard it sounds, or perhaps it's due to a deep rooted inferiority complex the colonial hangover. Hard to say
