Addictions are very easy to deal with, rather get totally rid off. It seems too much of a pain in the beginning but the fact that the mind suits according to the change very quickly - the person gets used to it as well. My dad smoked a hell lot and he was a road-side tea freak, he doesn't touch them now. And all the liqor he now drinks is the stinking thing, beer! LOL If he can deal with his addictions, anybody can.

Even I was a bit tooo much addicted to the internet. I can very well stop myself now, change is very quickly accepted by the brains you know? Too quick! Besides, it does not cause any physical pain, its just the mindset. Hence, it can be easily dealt with. =]

hmm I find most serious shows like prison break, heroes and 24 boring. I like the mystery ones with a touch of humor like monk and castle. Psych too, I love it. One amazing thing is that sitcoms haven't deteriorated like music, film and professional wrestling entertainment.  Big smile

you might like Dexter then, it's mystery/suspense, with some dark humour thrown in

yeh i agree.. do you still watch wwe?

I'll try dexter.. but I don't like too much of dry humor either, I like wacky humor instead.. like I like the office but not that much.

Well I watched it like a drug LOL  when it was wwf:

But now it kinda sucks, so I dont watch it much, but I love the wwe games still. Big smile

the rock was hilarious.. he used to say funny things/cuss people and keep a straight face LOL

and speak in 3rd person, imitate ppl, create funny stories, sing songs, relate to the audience etc LOL way better thn stone cold Dead

@ bold: if it was so easy, people wouldn't call it a problem. Just because your or my dad are able to deal with it, not many people can do it.

Perhaps your mental strength is way more than the average person, and good for you :D .. but on an average it is quite difficult for people incapable of analysing problems.

I don't know, it could differ how people perceive it. Half the times, people do not even realize they're addicted and even if they do, it takes them ages accepting. Once you accept, half your problem is solved!?

That's true, even when solving problems in management information system, the first step is to identify the problem. But getting rid of the first half is easier said than done.

Also undoing the damage could be quite tough!

That is a common habit in kids. It is not exactly an addiction, but a means for kids to get calcium.
