"And now put your hands together for Miss Riddhima Gupta for the last dance, escorted by Armaan Malik ." The pink glossy lips twitched and sighed. She closed her eyes, praying to the almighty. Her wished was granted even before it is wished for..
With a plastic smile on her face, she slowly walked down the long curve of staircase. Her eyes flickered around the crowd, gazing the uttermost beauty landing down.
Her perfect body was covered in a beautiful pink neckline embellished with beautiful pink ribbon tidy up at waistline elegant skirt with waterfall style. She had left her hair lose, just the way he liked it with her light pink dangling flowery ear-rings making her looking an angel on earth.
He literally held his breathe. His long turned stone heart made its twitch. He gasped as he saw her walk down. Her eyes stooped where they were destined to, his eyes.
He waited right at the end of the stairs, in a burgundy shirt left loose and a black coat to go with it.
Watching her walk down, he could hear his heart roll drums and play guitars. For a moment Armaan had lost his power of thinking. Why did he feel indifferent?
The eyes stayed glued to each other.
Armaan offered his hand, and she held his hands gently.
"Thank you!" She whispered.
"You owe me this one, by the way." He added.
"I know. This adds to your profit margin doesn't it? But I wonder why did you save me from the embarrassment." She snapped back in whispers as they smiled at the crowd.
Armaan himself dint have the answer to this one. He saw her descending down, and seemed just for him and no one else! The next thing Armaan Malik knew was- he was standing awaiting her arrival.
The two walked towards the door where the entire city stood awaiting them. The crowd Oohed and Aahed looking at the adorable pair. Just a few pair of eyes stared in shock seeing the impossible happen!
"Why the hell is she with Armaan ?" Anjali whispered to Atul, who stood watching the last pair enter the place.
"I've no idea!" Atul's tone expressed the same amount of amazement as she was in.
"Riddhima & Armaan ? There is no way I'm seeing this!" Muskaan-another participant of the last dance whispered to herself in shock.
The familiar shocked, or rather horror-striken eyes stared at the pair start the last dance.
Armaan bend down to kiss her hand, and lifted his eyes to look at her. She gasped. They bowed, and thus began the impossible- the ceremonial last dance.
Armaan slid his hands on her waist and pulled her closer to his body (while she stared at him blank, in shock!) His blue eye-balls seemed to mingle with her caramel eyes. His nostrils took in the delicious fragrance of Riddhima Gupta. Was this really happening? Yes, this was bound to happen.
The two bodies pressed to each other, moved in circles, with each of the eyes still. She could feel her heart being poisoned; she had just lost the power to thinking!
Atul smiled to himself, seeing his brother lost in her eyes. "I knew it Armaan ! This was bound to happen, brother." He whispered. As much as his eyes, his tone expressed the utter happiness Atul had received on seeing this happen.
The rest of the pairs seemed non-existent, as something worth watching was happening, everyone could feel it!
Was everything changing? Why did Armaan actually save Riddhima, the girl he hated an hour back, from the embarrassment? Why did he seemed horrifyingly involved in the dance? Had the last dance done something worth it?..
"Now, this is something you don't get to see every day." ,Nikita tip-toed in glee, biting her lips in happiness. Her eyes could see Riddhima lost in him, not to mention Armaan was completely in her!
