Did I confuse you with the title? If I did, let me make it clear.
We all have friends and we became friends with them at different points of time.
There might have been something that you saw in your friend that you became friends with them. Their attitude or behaviour, qualities.....something might have really catched your attention.

I have a lot of friends missy. But the friend who is the most closest to my heart is you !!

Destiny. 
But sometimes ... destiny can play tricks on you. 
I cannot even remember how we became friends yaar. I
think we were in Maths class ... you were sitting by yourself at that time right? Me and my other friends had, had a fight and they told me to sit at another table.
So, angry, I went and sat at the nearest table to me ... which was urs. You had asked me if everything was al-right with me.. and yhh. I had looked at you smiled, and spilled my guts out.
What made you think, she/he can be your friend?
Err... you can be a pain in the butt at times. I can make such a long list about you and ur "bad" qualities. We have had a few downsides of our friendship ... But inspite of all that your still my best friend at the end of the day, and I respect you and adore you for the other things you have done for me!!
So thanks for "sometimes" being there for me. 
What are the things that you want in a friend?
A friend who's honest, not a user, likeable.
Some one who wouldn't back bite about me and who's not a two faced jerk. A friend who doesn't leave you out when she finds "new" friends coz i hate people like that!!
A friend who's just there for you when you need her and even if you call like in the middle of the night ... she'll come running to your house asking
"whats wrong, is everything alright?"
A friend who doesn't act different around other people
Who's just as funny and random as me ... and if she's not ... then she shouldn't wanna change me into someone of her choice ... someone who i cannot be.
I like a friend who'll accept me for who i am.
It's just like the saying: "It's not about how many friends you have ... it's about who came and never left your side!"

I have a bunch of close friends, both at school as well as on the internet.
So why is your friend, your friend?
I am totally unsocial though, it isn't difficult for me to get along with people. I am hardly attached in emotional aspects to any of my friends. So what makes them my friends is a reason totally random. If their personality strikes me, I head straight to befriend them.
What made you think, she/he can be your friend?
If a person's personality appeals to me, I get the feel that we might get along well.
What are the things that you want in a friend?
I don't keep secrets yet I would mind a big mouth as my friend. Anybody else would do, random and happy people!

Started college in New Jersey, No friends, no family in this new state, staying alone in dorm. Dont know who to talk to who to seek help from...
Thats when I meet a devil with a angel hidden inside him. Helped me from the first day, who live in the same state but still moved in the dorm, traveled with me where I wanted to go, helped me when without asking anything in return
(sounds gay I know but no worries we are not, He has a son)
