Was Vivek Oberoi invited to Sanjay Dutt's Mata Ki Chowki?

Friends of Sanjay and Maana say he wasn't invited. The actor's friends insist that he was

FACT: Vivek Oberoi was spotted at Sanjay and Maanayata Dutt's Mata Ki Chowki at their residence

ANOTHER FACT: He isn't welcome at the Dutt residence.



ACCORDING TO SOURCES: VO showed up uninvited for their event on Wednesday night. He told filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia earlier that day that he wanted to drop in at the Dutts to invite them to his wedding reception on October 31. Apu was told that Oberoi could come anytime.

WHAT THE DUTTs' FRIENDS SAY: "They had no choice but to be cordial to VO in front of the media and the guests at their event. The younger actor walked up to Sanju, hugged him, met Maana, gave them his reception invite and hung around for 15 minutes behaving as if everything was fine between the Dutts and him."

WHAT OBEROI'S FRIENDS SAY: "When Apu met Sanju and told him that Vivek wanted to drop by, Dutt told Lakhia that Oberoi could come for the chowki. In fact, Sanju was very warm, hugged Vivek and promised to come to his wedding.

A producer friend of the Dutts is spreading the rumour that VO wasn't invited.  This producer is part of Sanju's inner coterie and wants the actor to only work with him though a recent film of his (with Dutt) didn't do well. He doesn't want Sanju, Vivek and Apoorva to come together for another film again.

Sanju HAS forgiven Vivek for whatever has happened in the past. VO just wants to shed the baggage of his past and be cordial to former friends. He wants everything to be positive for him."



Quick Rewind

The Sanju-VO equation went bad when Dutt had started dating Maanayata. Buzz was Vivek had even tried to woo Maana with flowers and bring personal CDs to a gym both frequented.

However, VO backed off when he realised who she was dating. Then, there were reports of Vivek making nasty comments about her.

The remarks had upset Dutt and he cut off all ties with Oberoi. Repeated SMSes later, Sanju still remained aloof.

The last straw was when VO met Maana's mother and put forth a marriage proposal on behalf of Dutt. The elder actor saw this as the younger actor meddling in his private life.

Then, at Zayed Khan's party (to celebrate the actor's birthday) Vivek kept trying to justify his actions to Sanju but was ignored.

Finally, Dutt told VO calmly but coldly, "Don't mess around with me!" and walked off. They didn't cross paths till the IIFA incident in June this year.

Whats wrong with this guy? He is such an outcast...none of the film people want to associate with him. Its sad........... but the guy has to stop acting immature!

i used to feel bad for vivek when the whole sallu incident happened .... but now, its like he enjoys being humiliated .... why does he go out of the way to please people who will not relent, landing up uninvited ... gosh!
