We regret to announce that yesteryear comedian S.S. Chandran (69) passed away following a massive cardiac arrest last night. Sridhar is survived by his wife, son and daughter. Apart from being a actor, he was also a MP and a member of the AIADMK party.

S.S. Chandran was in Mannarkudi last night to attend a political meeting. Galatta mourns this great loss to the film industry and expresses its condolences to his family.

It is sad to hear.

As a matter of fact I am watching a movie in which he has acted.

this is indeed a sad news.... I\ve seen many of his movies.... May his soul rest in peace...
