Maan ki Lagan(FF)-updtd part33pg142

Since, there are loads of writers here who perhaps would do more justice to the Maaneet confession and my mind seems to be stuck at one point after it.. i thought id share this with you all...
So, they confess their feelings for one another and hug, cry and part for the night!

Part 1:

Geet is really happy as she falls asleep.. she has spoken to Maan about everything, her being forced into marriage, her baby, and also why she had been running away from her feelings for him...maan tells her, he doesnt want to think of anything else today.. and he has never been this happy before and he wants to live this moment with her....with happy thoughts and the confidence that Maan would always be by her side geet falls asleep...

somewhere in the middle of the night, a sound wakes her up! she is scared, of all the animal sounds she can hear around her, she starts sweating-she tries maan's number but it is unavailable, and its way past mid night, she decides she will not call him... and so she shuts the window and tries to sleep once more.. but this time she hears foot steps, that seem to grow louder by the minute... she gets really scared, and finds her danda that she has always had next to her bed since the time she had come to the Khurana Outhouse.. she grips it with the silppery hands and tells herself, she is a strong girl and that she can handle this...So, slowly and steadily she takes steps and comes down.. she spots a silhouette on the other end of the hallway and she prays to her babaji and goes to attack him.. she comes down slowly in the dark, and before she can react a hand grips her tight and closes her eyes with a black cloth, carries her, straight out of the out house and before she can say a thing, she is put down... and the patti is removed.. she opens her eyes slowly abusing to person only to realise she is in a meadow like place, which is actually maan's garden... there is candles all over, and the jhoola on which she is sitting is adorned with flowers and creepers... she breaks into a smile.. and wants to get down to look around when a person stops her and makes her wear her jooti's ....
yeh jooti toh she says....
wahi waali hai jo tumne mujhe pe pheka tha ... says maan, but he has a smile on his face, instead of his usually stern expression...!
Geet blushes..." yeh ab tak aapke paas hai.....
Maan: haan... aur aaj ke paas bhi mere paas hi rahega....
Geet: yeh toh, wahi kahani jaisi hai na, ho maine apne school main padha tha... chandrakala aur uska raj kumar...
maan: chandra kala?
Geet: haan... humare hoshiarpur main, yeh kahani humari teacher sunaya karti thi....
Maan: oh you mean Cinderella?
Geet: jo bhi ho... toh iska yehi matlab yeh hua ke main woh chandrakala aur aap mere raj kumar.... ( she stops suddenly embarrased as she notices maan gazing at her...)
Maahi..... plays.... she smiles... as he holds her hand... she goes in red in her face and looks away... and the background score of Teri ore starts playing...

.... as the song starts... Dil kho gaya ho gaya kisi ka... we see geet admiring the entire place, there are roses all over, she wants to hold it when maan stops her, removes the thorn on it, in the process hurting himself .. she has tears in her eyes as she puts that finger into her mouth, as an instant reaction.. she has tears in her eyes... she says...
Geet:Maana ke har waqt aap meri raksha karte hai... kabhi kisi problem ko mujhe chune nahi dete... iska yeh matlab nahi hai ke aap khud ko takleef pahuchaaye... samjhe aap she says with the same authority with which he says Samjhi tum....
Maan stares at her, lost for words... he cant understand her even now, though he thinks he does... no one ever had exercised this kinda authority over him.. and no one had showed him what it was to be loved like this.. all his life he was the one who was doing things for people around him ..and to him.. it had almost become like a duty, when there was nothing he had gotten in return.. and in a way.. he had gotten used to it.. and he hadnt expected better.. even dadi, was scared of saying things to Maan after a point... and now, this girl... was saying, doing things that he seemed to always want...
Geet: aise kya dekh rahe hai sir? aap yeh humesha happy scene main baar baar pause kyun ho jaate hai... ye lo play... ab baat kee jiye...
Maan: Geet...! ( suddenly all serious as he breaks out of his trance) ... he looks away... mat karo mujhse itna pyar... mat jatao mujh pe itna haq... mat batao mujhe ke mujhe kya karna chahiye...
Geet: ( is shocked, but tries to change her tone and jokes) ... kyun sir, kya aapko mujh se darr lagta hai? geet handa aisi hi hai she says... imitating Maan... when he notices Maan serious expression...
Maan grips her tight by her shoulders looks into her eyes and says... " haan... darr lagta hai... har cheez se darr lagta hai... tumhe khone ka darr, tumse door jaane ka darr.... please geet... meri feelings ka aise mazaak mat udao... samjhi tum ...
Geet gauges what he is going thro... and without saying another word... just hugs him tight and says...
Geet: Sir, dariye mat... main aapki geet.. aapse kabhi door nahi jaungi... humesha aap hi ke paas rahungi... aise hi.. jaise main ab hoon...!
Maan: hugs her back....tight...
Geet feels a little uncomfortable by the hug, but she doesnt say anything... but the next moment... maan realises...may be he is being too rough with her....
maan: I am very sorry....! maine woh....
geet: koi baat nahi sir.. main samajhti hoon... yoohi pyar nahi karti hoon main aapse...! aur fir dusht daanav se pyar karne koi aasan kaam thodi na hai...
Maan smiles...
Geet: sir...
Maan: hmmm...
Geet: pata hai... mujhe na.. sab sapna jaisa lag raha hai.. jaise filmo main hota hai na....jahan pe hero heroine ke liye...
maan: please geet says maan..yeh na koi film hai.. aur na ma in usme hero...aur tum...
geet: haan haan...jekin jiss tarah aap behave kar rahe ho na... woh toh bilkul aise hi lag raha hai...
Maan is embarrased...
geet: koi baat nahi sir...kabhi kabhi doosre logon ki tarah behave karna galat nahi hota...
maan: lekin Maan Singh Khurana kisiko follow nahi karta samjhi tum...
Geet giggles... " par sir " she is about to say...
Maan: Maan... sirf maan...
geet: sir?
Maan: Aaj se tumhare liye main Maan hoon... !
Geet: nahi sir, main aapko aapke naam se nahi bula sakti....
Maan: kyun....
Geet: bas nahi bula sakti...
Maan: maine kaha na geet... mujhe Maan keh ke bulao...
Geet: nahi sir...
Maan: tum bulaogi ki nahi?
geet: nahi...
Maan: Log Maan Singh Khurana ko uske naam se bulane ki himmat bhi nahi aur tum ...
Geet: nahi sir.. woh alag hai... aur main alag... lekin main aapko aapke naam se nahi bula sakti...
Maan: par dusht daanav, aur raavan keh sakti ho? ( in moch anger)
Geet: haan! lekin woh to pyar se bulati hoon na?
Maan: accha? aur pyar se aur kya bulati ho tum mujhe geet ( he says ... looking into her eyes looking for an answer... she is embarrased... and mahi plays...another eye lock happens...as she rests her head on his shoulder smiling.. Maan kisses her forehead....
