Part 1
The dullness enhanced to the atmosphere in the Golden Hall. Many of the faces seemed affectionate and sympathetic, but yet the girl didn't know what had happened to her mother. Staring down at the laid figure; it seemed as if the colour had drained from her face, her harmonious voice barricaded behind a wall which couldn't be broken, her glossy red lips sealed and her eyes closed forever...
Rajkumari Nandini: Ma koh kya hua hai, Sia?
Rajkumari Sia: (sobbing) Kuch nahi hua Ma koh, Nandini. Jao tum thori der ke liye so jao. Pari, isse le jao..
Nodding meekly, she gave a look at her dead mother unknown of what had happened to her and then followed the maid who lead her up the classy stairs. Concurrently, the corpse was lifted and for the last time, Sia saw her mother leaving her house forever..
After 10 years everything changed. The Rajkumari's had grown older and the Maharaj had gone senile among these years. Now the palace is ruled by the Rajkumari's uncle who is brutal and disregarded towards them..
Concurrently, there was a palace named Aryanagar. Aryanagar was a land of happiness and joys and everyone adored the Maharaj, Maharani and the Rajkumars. The palace of Aryanagar was the biggest amongst the all and so had the most powerful soldiers and weapons. Palace of Awadhi and Aryanagar were on perfect terms and so the story tells all about their journeys..
As we fade away from Awadhi, a hard sheen of light enters the magnificent chamber where a round bed is occupied. Concealed by the blanket, the Rajkumar of Aryanagar is trying to hide from the sunlight and the echoing screams of his mother..
Maharani Nivriti: (yanking the blanket off him) Veer! Utho, Veer! Tum kabhi nahi sudro ge! Tumhe pata bhi hai ke kya waqt hai, tumhe surya namaskar nahi karna kya?
Veer: (mumbling) Aaj nahi, Ma. Aaj Suraj Ji se kaho keh hume shama kar de. Hum kal puri raat chanda ji koh gurte rahe..
Maharani Nivriti: (giggling) Tum bhi na, Veer! Dharam toh keh raha tha keh tum kal jaldi so gaye the. Chalo ab, utho! Maharaj ne hum sab koh shaahi kamre me bolaya hai..
Veer: (moaning) Ab maine kya kiya, Ma? Kal ke hadse ke liye toh mujhe suna diya tha na, aur kitna sunaye ge..?
Maharani Nivriti: (pulling him off the bed) Veer! Zaroori nahi ke har bar tumhare bare me hi ho sab kuch.. tum jao aur naha lo.. aur phir seede, shaahi kamre mein aana aur jaldi.. (rushes out of the room)
Veer: (mumbling and falling back on the bed) Ji Ma..
A few hours later, when everyone was present in the 'Shaahi Kamra', the Maharaj heartily announced..
Maharaj Aryawardhan: (smiling) Aap sab ke liye bohut bari khush kabri hai. Kal Rajkumar Dharam aur Rajkumar Veer Awadhi jaah rahe hai. Awadhi ke Maharaj Natraj toh aap koh yaad hi honge? Kal unki beti Rajkumari Sia ka janam din hai..
Veer: Kya humara jaana zaroori hai? Aur sirf hum hi kyu? Aap kyun nahi aur Ma..
Maharaj Aryawardhan: (glaring) Veer! Unho ne sab koh niyotra beja tha par kal hi mujhe aur Maharani ji koh Shiv Ji mandhir prasad charha ne jana hai aur uske baad maha mantri ji se bhi milna hai. Isliye unko bura nah lage toh aap dono hi jaye ge..
Dharam: (interrupting) Ji Maharaj. Hum aur Veer zaroor jaiye ge. Bas aap sab kuch hum pe chor dije..
Maharaj Aryawardhan: (beaming) Dharam, hum me aap se yahi umeed hai ke jin koh jaana chahiye woh Awadhi ja ke hi rahe aur kissi bi haal me wahan se ek din rahe bina waapis nah aye.. (eyeing Veer)
Veer: (gasping) Ek din!? Ek din, kyun? Hum toh sirf shaamil hone jaah rahe hai unki khushi main toh phir humme wahan rukhne ki kya zaroorat hai..
Maharani Nivriti: Veer, unki icha thi ke aap aur Dharam kamse kam ek din unke saat rahe. Itne saalon se woh aap ka intezaar kar rahe hai, toh acha nahi lagta..
Maharaj Aryawardhan: (warning) Aur aap unke adarsh ka palan kare ge, warna hum se bura nahi ho ga. Aap aaj hi nikal jaiye thake kal thak aap pohunch jaiye aur iske ek din baad aap waapis aah sakte hai..
Dharam: (nodding) Ji Maharaj. Hum abhi nikal the hai. Chalo Veer..
Meanwhile, in Awadhi, the Rajkumari's were having a hard and rough time with their uncle who went on blabbering noisely about manners eyeing Nandini most of the time..
Maharaj Natraj: (glaring at Nandini) Aur is baar kuch ghar bar hui tho phir hum se bura nahi ho ga. Us bar Rajkumar Harsh jab aye the toh humari naak kat gayi thi! Is bar hum aisa kuch nahi chahte!
Nandini: (rolling eyes) Par usme humari galti kya thi? Humne toh unhe sirf ek thofa diya tha par agar unhe uska istemaal karna nahi aaya toh usme humari kya galti hai..
Sia: (interrupting) Maharaj, iss bar aisa kuch nahi ho ga. Aap hum pe barosa rakhiye, iss bar Nandini kuch ulta seedha nahi karegi..
Maharaj Natraj: (barely listening) Pishli bar bhi aap ne kuch aisa hi kaha tha, Sia. Par aap inhe rok nahi payi aur humari naak katwa di. Is bar aap dono ko kari se kari saza mil he gi agar kuch ulta seedha hua..
Nandini: (taking Sia's side) Aap isse kyun daant rahe hai, woh hum hi the jisne kiya tha woh sab. Sia ne humme bohut rokha bhi..
Maharaj Natraj: (smirking) Woh toh hum bohut aachi thara se jaante hai. Sia ke janam din me kuch ghar bhar nahi honi chahiye. Acha ho ga ke aap yahan tashreef laiye hi na, kamse kam mehmaan toh surakshit rahe ge..
Sia: (aghast) Yeh aap ne kya keh diya, Maharaj. Meri behen mere janam din pe naah aye, isse acha toh hum janam din hi nah manaye..
Nandini: (rolling eyes) Sia, humme waise bhi abyas karna hai. Tumhara janam din manana shayad humare naseeb mein hi nahi hai.. (muttering under breath) Par un Rajkumaron koh toh hum nahi chore ge.. unhe yahan se baga de ge tabhi asli maza aye ga..
