I keep my bedroom pitch black in the night.  Not even the glare of any electronics like dvr light or digital clock.  When ever I wake up duriong the night, which is quite rare as I am a sound sleeper ONCE I fall asleep, I could barely make out the shapes of the furniture - that's it.
Then mirror or no mirror shoudnt matter LOL There must be some other reason for the mirror not to be there !

If you deliberately dont get back , it would constitute suicide , and thats considered to be a sin .It is said that if the silver cord somehow breaks off during astral travel then you may not be able to enter back into your body.

some of the ppl I talked to said that they did not feel like getting back into their bodies but did get back. Some had difficulty but were helped by their guru to get back. Could be dangerous I feel, unless done under guidance at least initially ! I think its about half an hour to 1 hour , but there could be some who can do it for longer period.
