Recap: Maan tells Geet that he'll give back her clothes when she agrees to leave the house; Geet retaliates by saying that if she comes out of the bathroom to grab her clothes, he'll have to leave; Maan throws clothes at Geet; Maan says that while Dadi is quiet, he's the boss of the house; Geet draws a line, Maan says he'll make her life hell and Geet tells him that she'll give him fitting answers...
The episode starts with Maan asking if Geet's threatening him, and Geet agrees - she wants to see who moves from the outhouse first: let's have a challenge, or leave the house. Maan is shaking with anger as he says that Maan Singh Khurana has never run away from a challenge...
Geet retorts that it's because he hasn't faced Geet Handa yet. They stare at each other...
Geet is now in the kitchen drinking water. She admires the kitchen, and Maan walks in. She bangs the pot on the stove to announce she's there... and then starts talking about the kitchen, and how in their own homes, people need to cook... otherwise what will guests think?
Maan backs Geet into the corner, says that the 30crore house deed is in his name, and she's calling him a guest? (In b/w this, Geet almost sits on a bench, and in the same breath Maan yells for her to get off, or it'll break - I loved that bit)
Geet is amazed that the house is worth 30crores - that would explain why Maan's nose is always in the air. She starts talking about her friend, and Maan is exhausted from her 'bak,bak' so he stops her, asks her if she was cooking, and goes to sit down. Geet says she's going to make aloo paranthe, and starts looking for the potatoes... and asks Maan if he's stolen the potatoes.
Maan almost shows her, thinks better of it, and sits back smiling. Geet asks why he's smiling, Maan says for to make her aloo paranthe... and make sure it is 'aloo' paranthe. Geet says that she doesn't need his permission or his help.
She opens the fridge, and notices some capsicum in the fridge... and wonders what they are - some sort of weird 'ghasphuss'. Maan tells her that it's her kitchen, she should know what to do with it... Geet almost chucks the capsicum at his head, but when he turns around, she quickly chucks them backwards.
She goes to the cupboards... takes out two packets... and remembers her past - Dev telling her that she's the light of his life, and Naintara saying that she should make Italian lasagna for him. Geet stands there murmuring that she doesn't like Italian food, and Maan getting impatient, says that he's hungry so he'll help her. Geet continues murmuring she hates Italian, and Maan says that him & his brother love Italian.
Geet wonders why she hasn't let go of her past. Everytime she goes somewhere, the past continues to haunt her. She asks Babaji what type of test he's making her complete.
The scene cuts to Dev in the office bored out of his mind... Pinky is at the door asking to come in. Pinky has Geet's file in her hand saying that it's an ex-employee's Providence fund file, and they need his signature on the papers. Dev is happy to do it, and opens it up (obviously Geet's picture isn't on the first page), and signs.
He wonders why someone would leave the office, and tells Pinky not to leave at all. (Dev isn't bad... he's just a namura in Naintara's crazy plans) Pinky giggles, and Dev asks who the employee was. Pinky explains that it was Maan's personal secretary. Dev is interested and asks if his brother liked her. Pinky doesn't know, and Dev asks if Maan hasn't realised that he's got a very pretty receptionist. Pinky grins and thanks him...
Just as Naintara opens the door to Dev's office. His grin evaporates as he sees her, and without looking, he signs the paper with Geet's photo on it. He hands Pinky the file, and watches her leave. Naintara is fuming (Naintara, get off your high horse. Thanks).
Back at outhouse kitchen, Maan is cooking... and then takes his pan, and sits down, watching Geet. He softens as he sees her sad in thought, and says that as he's helped all these times.. he'll help her now as well. Maahi moment - flashbacks of all the times Maan has saved Geet.
Maan realises what he said, and quickly says that he was referring to her not eating. Geet says that she can do what she needs to on her own. Maan gets angry, and starts complimenting his breakfast. (BTW, who eats pasta for breakfast? I worry about Maan sometimes - this obession with Italian. Lol.)
He takes a bite, realises he needs the paper... and goes off to retrieve it. Geet eyes the pasta, comments on how men know how to cook now.. wonders if there's anything they can't do. Geet, realising she's hungry, decides to make do with a cup of tea, and heats up the water on the stove while she searches for the tea leaves. Realising that Maan drinks nothing but his 'bitter coffee', Geet says she'll drink the hot water instead.
She sits back down, and looks longingly at the pasta. She almost takes a bite when Maan comes back. Maan sees the pot on his side of the table, and goes to move it, not realising it's hot water. He scalds his fingers, and Geet stands up, Maan tells her to be quiet and mentions that Maan never gives her a chance to talk, he's always staring at her angrily... like he's doing now, and then she asks where the medicine kit is.
Maan wonders why she needs that, and Geet goes off into another tangent, before taking his hands, and blowing on them... Maahi moment. She tells him to wait, she's bringing the toothpaste. Maan regains his composure and calls out that the pain is in his hands.
Geet comes back, forces him to sit down, and starts rubbing toothpaste on his fingers. Maahi moment (especially when Geet rubs her forehead, and toothpaste lingers.. so Maan tries to brush it away, but gets more toothpaste on her).
Geet notices Maan smiling, and asks if he's feeling relief. He realises, hardens up, and says that he's glad that she can't eat in this house... so pack her bags and go away!
Geet says that she would have left, but then there's this food that'll go to waste because Maan can't eat it now. She makes him sit back down, and moves to feed him, before eating it herself. Maahi moment as he smiles watching her eat...
And then mentions quietly that ever since she's come into his life, it's never been the same. Geet, while eating the pasta, asks who's telling him to stay. Maan realises his mistake, and tells Geet that she'll be going, it's a promise. He leaves, and Geet goes back to eating the pasta, and says that she said nothing, but he fearfully ran away.
In the haveli, Dev comes up to Dadi and mentions that if she continues pacing like that, she'll have another heart attack. Dadi mentions that with a child like Maan, her heartbeats could never be normal to begin with.
Dev goes up to Dadi, and (very cutely) wonders whether Dadi was on an oath... but here she is talking. Dadi says that the way Maan's behaving, soon enough, she won't talk at all.
Dev asks what the problem is, and Dadi says that she hired a new secretary for him, but Maan is angry about it. Is that a reason to get upset?
Dev says that it's a great thing... in fact Dadi is bringing some colour into Maan's dull life. Dadi is glad he understands, but who's going to explain this to Maan? Dev tells her to go to the outhouse to make Maan understand instead of sitting here worrying. Dadi agrees.
Back in the outhouse, Maan is pacing, shaking with anger. He's trying to figure out what to do - he needs Geet out of his life. He sits down and tells himself to think the way he used to before Geet came into his life.
Geet is still munching away, before stopping and realising what she's done is a bit too much. She's not purposely doing Maan's head in... it's just that she needs a place to stay, and a job. She resolves to explain all this to Maan calmly, and will even take some pasta for him to eat. Just then she sees a cockroach, and screams.
Back to Maan, and he's quite happy. He knows Dadi will have had to make Geet sign a contract in which there should be a clause underlining her termination. Maan just needs to fulfill the clause, and she'll be out of here. Just then he notices Geet screaming and running downstairs.
She's trying to explain there was a cockroach, but instead falls onto Maan and they get tangled in the curtains... Maahi moment.
They finally get themselves untangled, and Geet is quite sorry. She wants to know if Maan's alright, but he tells her to go. She starts walking away, when Maan stops her and asks her where her contract is.
Precap: Maan is going crazy, and tells her that if she needs money, she doesn't have to do all this to get it... Geet goes to slap him, but he holds her arm...
