Part 5
Scene 1
Location ~ Shergill House - Living Room
Characters in scene ~ Ratna, Adhiraj, Nupur & Benji
It is 9:30 am on Sunday. Adhiraj, Nupur & Ratna are in the living room, preparing to go to Bushan house. All are looking smart and dressy. Adhiraj is wearing black trousers, a navy shirt, grey tie and black waist coat. Ratna is wearing mint green saree with gold work. Nupur is wearing a light blue lengha with silver work.
Ratna - Adhi beta, yeh mitaiya aur gifts, tere gari mein rak de (she pointed the the items). Shagun ke kangan mere paas rahenge.
Adhiraj - Ok Maa! (He starts picking up the items) Nupur main aur Maa waha pehle pauch kar baat karlenge, tu bhai ko lekar ek ghante baad aana.
Nupur - Ok. Par Adhi bhaiya, main bhai ko kya bataoongi? Mera matlab hain, main unhe kya kaho agar woh pooche hum kaha ja rahe hai?
Adhiraj - Koi bhi bahana bana lena, bhai tuhjpe kabhi shak nahin karenge, isiliye toh yeh kaam tujhe diya hai. (He smiles and winks at Nupur)
Ratna - Haan beta. Ab Adhi aur main nikalthe hai, hume das (10) bageh waha pauchna hai.
Nupur - Par main bhai ko akele kaise laoongi?
Benji - Never fear, Benji is here! (They all turn around and see Benji standing at the front door in a dramatic pose. They all laugh. Benji is also looking smart in a light pink shirt, black trousers and marron maroon tie)
Ratna - Loh, ab Benji bhi agaya. Benji beta tum dono der math karna, Samrat ko lekar teek gyara (11) bajeh pauch jana.
Benji - Ofcourse Maa, mere hote hueh fikr kis baat ki? (He goes over to her and gives her a hug and kiss on the cheek)
Adhiraj - Ab chale Maa, varna hum der hojayenge. (Adhiraj and Ratna start leaving with the things, at the door Adhiraj stops and turns around) Good luck guys! (After they leave, Nupur makes Samrat a cup of coffee then her and Benji go to wake up Samrat)
Scene 2
Location ~ Shergill House - Samrat's Room
Characters in scene ~ Nupur, Samrat & Benji
Samrat is lying on his front sleeping on his bed when Benji and Nupur come in. He is wearing a green vest top and blue pyjama bottoms.
Nupur - Good morning Bhai! (She sits down on the bed and puts the mug on the bed side table. Samrat opens one eye and looks at the clock and closes it again)
Samrat - Kya Nupur? Pehle toh tume theeno ne mujhe raat ek (1) bajeh se pehle ghar aane nahin diya, aur ab itni subha utha rahe ho.
Nupur - Please Bhai, uth jao. It's almost 10, aur hamare paas zyada waqt nahin hai.
Samrat - Waqt? Kaha jaana hain tujhe?
Nupur - Woh bhai... (She looks at Benji who does a funny dance)... Bhai woh nachne....
Samrat -Nachne?
Nupur - Mera matlab hai, party! Party bhai! Aaj woh..... mere dost ki party hai! (She sighs in relief)
Samrat - Toh meri kya zarrorath hai, apni car se chali jaana.
Nupur - Woh bhai... Meri car mein.... Haan! Meri car mein petrol nahin hai! ...Toh please aap chordenge?
Samrat - Teek hai! (Samrat yawns and sits up, picks up the coffee and takes a sip. He then sees Benji standing at the door) Benji? Tu itne subha yaha?
Benji - Dude main... tujhe milne ayatha, par lag tha hai tu kahin jaa raha hai.
Samrat - Haan woh....Actually Benji, kya tu Nupur ko uske dost ke ghar chor sakta hai? (Benji looks at Nupur)
Nupur - Nahin bhai! Woh nahin chor sakta.
Samrat - Kyun? (Confused)
Nupur - Woh.... (Nupur tries to think of an excuse)
Benji - Mai pedal aya hoon na, isliye! (Samrat looks at them both inturn as they hold their breaths)
Samrat - Acha teek hain. (They both sigh in relief) Tum dono bahar jao, mujhe naah kar tayaar hona hai. (He gets up and takes out jeans and a T-shirt from his wardbrobe)
Nupur - Bhai aap yeh pehnenge? (She looks at Benji)
Samrat - Haan. Kyun?
Benji - Woh... agar uske dost ne tujhe andhur bulaya toh, dude tu bhut out of place lagega. Tu ek acha suit pehn ya sherwaani...
Samrat - Sherwaani?
Samrat - Nahin Bhai! Suit hi teek hai (She gives Benji a look). Aap tyaar hojaiye Bhai, hum bahar jaathe hai. (She takes Benji by the arm and drags him out)
Nupur - Benji! Sherwaani?
Benji - Kya? Acha lagtha! (She shakes her head and walks off)
Scene 3
Location ~ Bushan House - Gunjan's Room
Characters in scene ~ Gunjan, Dia & Bauji
Gunjan & Dia are in Gunjan's room getting ready. Gunjan is wearing a white & red churidar suit . Dia is wearing a pink Long dress with silver work. Bauji knocks on the door and comes in.
Bauji - Gunjan (He comes over and holds Gunjans head in his hands) Kitni khoobsurath lagrahi hai meri beti
Dia - Aur main Tauji?
Bauji - Tim bhi bohut khoobsurath lagrahi ho Dia. (Dia smiles) Tum dono ko kisi ki nazaar na lage. (Just then the door bell rings) Lagtha hai woh lohg agaye. Tum dono tayaar ho jao. (He faces Dia) Dia jab main bulaoo, tum Gunjan ko lekar ajaana. (Bauji leaves to open the door)
Gunjan - Dia? Kya tumhe is rishte ke bare mein kuch pata hain? (Dia is facing away from Gunjan and smiling)
Dia - Haan, mujhe Tauji ne bataya. Kyun? Tum jaanna chahthi ho? (She turns around and looks at Gunjan, trying to keep a straight face. Gunjan looks worried) Oh! Pooche ne se Sharma rahi ho? Don't worry, main tumhe batathi hoon. Hone wale jiju ek ameer gharane ka hai, woh apne family ka business samaltha hai. Bachpan mein uske dad guzar gaye aur uske ek chota bhak aur ek choti behen hai. (Dia looks at Gunjan to see her reaction and seeing that she is deep in thought smiles) Gunjan? Main Tauji ke paas jathi hoon, main tuhe baad mein lene ajaoongi.
Gunjan (THOUGHTS) - Ladka ameer gharane ka hai, Samrat ki tara. Woh apne family ka business samaltha hai, Samrat ki tara. Ek chota bhai aur choti behen, bilkul Samrat ki tara. Dia ki har baath se mujhe Samrat kyun yaad aa raha?
Scene 4
Location ~ Bushan House
Characters in scene ~ Bauji, Ratna Adhiraj & Dia
Bauji opens the door welcome Ratna and Adhiraj inside.
Bauji - Namaste Ratna ji
Ratna - Namaste bhaisaab. Maaf kijiye hum thora jaldi agaye, woh humse raha nahin gaya. (She smiles)
Bauji - Maafi ki zarrorath nahin he behenji, main aaphi ka intazaar kar raha tha.... Yeh...? (He points at Adhiraj)
Adhiraj - Namaste uncle!
Ratna - Yeh mera chota beta hai, Adhiraj. Samrat meri beti ke saath baad mein ajayega. Aap to meri beti se milchuke hai na?
Bauji - Haan, main Nupur se milchuka hoon. Bohut achi bachi hai....Undhur ayiye naa. (He leads them inside and into the living room and they all sit down)
Ratna - Bhaisaab, joh baat mujhe karni thi, woh to main aapse phone par karchuki hoon. Agar aap mere bete ya parivaar ke bare mein kuch poochna chahte hain toh....
Bauji - Behenji, mera bhai Ravi, aapke pathi ka bohut acha dost tha, aur usne jo bhi mujhe aapke parivaar ke bare mein bataya, mujhe bohut pasand aya. Aur vaise bhi, Dia beti kal se aapke bete ki thareef karthe nahin thakrahi.
Dia - Namaste Auntie! Hi Adhiraj! (Dia comes in and sits down as they all laugh) Kya hua?
Ratna - Kuch nahin beta, tumhari bohut lambi umar hai, hum tumhare bare mein hi baat kar rahe the.
Dia - Mere bare mein kyun? Aapko to Gunjan aur Samrat ki baat karni chahiye. (She faces Bauji) Patha hai Tauji? NGD Decorators ko apna pehla job Samrat ne hi dilaya tha... (They all start laughing again and Dia gets confused) Kya hua?
Adhiraj - Uncle, sach to yeh hai, ke Samrat bhaiya ke liye koi bhi tareef kam hai. Aur yeh baat aapko bhaiya se milkar hi patha chal jayega.
Ratna - Bhaisaab, hume umeed hai ke hum yeh rishta aaj pakha karke hi jayenge.
Bauji - Nahin behenji! (Dia and Adhiraj look at each other while Ratna just stares at Bauji shocked) Mera matlab hai... Mujhe aap ka parivaar bohut pasand hai, par..... (Adhiraj looks questioningly at Dia and she shrugs back) Shaadi karne ka, ya na karne ka faisla toh Gunjan hi karegi (Ratna, Dia and Adhiraj let out a sigh of relief)
Dia - Aapne toh hume darahi diya Tauji.
Adhiraj (THOUGHTS) - Are waah! Uncle toh itne bhi puraane khayatho ke nahin hai! Gunjan bhabi ka choice hai to matlab haan!
Scene 5
Location ~ Bushan House - Outside
Characters in scene ~ Nupur, Samrat & Benji
Samrat, Nupur and Benji get out of the car outside of Bushan house.
Samrat - Agar yaha hi aana tha, tho directions ki kya zaroorath thi?
Nupur - Woh bhai.... mujhe laga ke aap bhool...Gaye...honge (She cringes) Sorry bhai.
Samrat - Seriously, Nupur, Benji, seede seede batao, ke hum yaha kyun aye hai? (He crosses his arms and glares at them both)
Nupur - Bhai woh.... (She looks at Benji)
Benji - Nupur ne pehle bataya na. Uski dost ki party! Isi dost ke bare mein baat kar rahi hogi. Haina Nupur? (He gives Nupur a look)
Nupur - Bhai woh.... (She looks at Benji then Samrat) Bhai, aapko mujhpar barosa hai?
Samrat - Ofcourse Nupur par....
Nupur - Par kuch nahin bhai. Undhur aapke liye ek suprise hai, joh aapko bohut khushi dega, I promise you! (Samrat looks at Benji who smiles and presses the door bell)
Scene 6
Location ~ Bushan House
Characters in scene ~ Bauji, Ratna, Adhiraj, Nupur, Samrat, Benji & Dia
Dia has bought some snacks and just put it on the table, when the door bell rings.
Ratna - Lagtha hai Samrat aur Nupur agaye.
Bauji - Dia beta, darwaza jakar kholo.
Dia - OK Tauji!
Adhiraj - Main bhi jaatha hoon (Dia and Adhiraj go and open the front door) Hi bhai! (Dia, Benji & Nupur also greet each other)
Samrat - Adhi tu yaha? (He looks confusedly at Adhiraj) Tu toh Maa ke saath gaya tha na?
Adhiraj - Haan bhai! Main Maa ke saath hi aya hoon!
Samrat - Kya! Maa bhi yaha hai? (He looks at them all in turn) Koi mujhe batayega ke yaha kya ho raha hai? (They all grin at him)
Dia - Andhur toh ayiye jijaji! (Dia takes him by the arm and leads him to the living room)
Samrat (THOUGHTS) – Jijaji? Kahin hum yaha mere aur Gunjan ke rishte ki baat karne toh nahin aye? (A small smile comes on his face and vanishes just as quick) In sab ne mujse chupaya, shayad suprise karne ke liye, par kya Gunjan jaanthi hai?
Ratna - Loh agaya mera beta (She stands up and walks over to Samrat and whispers) Kaisa laga suprise? (She then faces Bauji) Bhaisaab, yeh hai mera beta Samrat.
Samrat - Namaste uncle! (He goes to Bauji and touches his feet)
Bauji - Jeethe raho beta! Tumse milkar khushi hui. (They all sit down and make small talk for a while. Samrat , though happy, can't help worrying about Gunjan) Dia beti, Gunjan ko kaho ke woh chai leaye.
Dia - Jee Tauji!
Nupur - Uncle main bhi jaathi hoon. (Dia collects the tea from the kitchen then she and Nupur go to Gunjan's room)
Nupur - Wow Gunjan! You look lovely! (Gunjan looks at Nupur and frowns)
Gunjan - Nupur? Tum yaha? (Nupur smiles)
Nupur - Ofcourse! Mere bina toh yeh shaadi nahin ho sakthi.
Dia - Chalo Gunjan tumhe chai lekar jaana hai. (She hands Gunjan the tray, Gunjan is about to walk off, but Dia stops her) Wait Gunjan. (She takes Gunjan's dupatta and puts it over her face) Ab jao!
Gunjan - Par Dia, main dekhongi kaise?
Nupur - Not to worry Gunjan! (Nupur grins) Main lekar jathi hoon tumhe. (Nupur takes Gunjan's arm and leads her to the living room, on seeing her enter everyone stands up. Samrat stares at her as if in a trance)
Adhiraj - Bhai? Kya dekh rahe ho? (He nudges Samrat, who then comes back to his senses. Gunjan sits down with Dia by her side, Nupur goes and sits next to Samrat)
Ratna - Gunjan, yeh ghonghat ki lya zaroorath thi? Hum sab toh ek doosre ko jaanthe hain na?
Gunjan (THOUGHTS) - Yeh awaaz? (She tries hard to place the voice)
Adhiraj - Haan Gunjanji. Yeh ghonghat uthakar apna chehra toh dikhayiye!
Gunjan (THOUGHTS) - Adhiraj? Adhiraj yaha kya kar raha hai? Woh aurath ki awaaz? Kahin woh Ratna auntie toh nahin thi? (Gunjan closes her eyes) Please Bagwan, jo main soch rahi hoon, aisa hi ho!
Dia - Ofcourse dikhayegi! (Dia slowly lifts up Gunjan's Ghonghat and once the ghonghat is fully off and she sees the person sitting in front of her, a lone tear of happiness falls down her cheek and she softly sighs)
Gunjan - Samrat.

I was hoping to include Mayur meeting in this part, but as it was getting a little long I'll include that in the next part.
