Chapter-4

No, Maan must be dreaming...may be its because of lack of sleep...the doctor must be mistaken...Maan's imagination was going wild, how can she be pregnant and why would Geet never tell him about it.

He was really bewildered but then realised that Dr. Sahni was standing behind him he asked.

"Maam, you must be mistaken, are you talking about geet. But vo kaise..."

Before he could say any other word she cut his thoughts,"oh so you are not her husband.

Dekhiye Mr. Maan mei aap jaise logon ko ache se jaanti hun....pehle to kisi bholi bhali ladki ko pyar mein fansate ho aur kuch galat hone par yahe hospital mein ek nanhi si jaan ko maarne ka attempt."

 At this point Maan summoned all his nerves and interrupted the young doctor.

Maan:Is Geet and her child safe.Can I take her home?

She saw so much concern in his eyes for Geet that all she could manage to say was,

Dr. Sahni:yes,yes!!

Maan was very much relieved hearing this, but soon wondered why Geet had lied to her. What was the truth behind all this, and with an abrupt jerk he reflected on the doctor's words.

He realised that it was that Gurprit, her boyfriend who was responsible for all this. Geet's family must have known the truth and that's why they became her blood-thirsty.

Now he really got angry with her and felt cheated.He felt his heart was brutally broken in pieces that lay shattered on the floor...

Before he could think and process the things any further his feet stopped, he had reached to Geet's room.

Once there he forgot all about the pain that Geet was causing him.

Geet was in half dazed state and her hand rested protectively on her abdomen.

Maan was once again lost in her.

Soon Maan came back to his senses and said "Geet".

Geet awoke with a startle and seeing Maan by her side felt protected. She remembered all the instances when he helped her.

Maan seeing Geet weak and a bit startled decided that his questions may wait. He will ask all his questions some other day. Right now, only Geet's health and well being mattered to him.

Maan: Geet, you have already been examined by Dr. Sahni and we can now go home.

Geet: But Sir vo....

Geet was feeling guilty, she never wanted that Maan will come to know about all this in such a manner. She opened her mouth to clarify, but Maan stopped her and they share another Aankh-Micholi moment...

Maan: Let's go home! You are very weak now. You need rest. We will talk tomorrow.

It was well past mid night. Maan & Geet were lying on their bed in their homes. The day's events reeling through their minds.

Geet then thought about yesterday's events and her own determination. Oh no! She couldn't have feelings for him or any member of their family. She has to go away from all this. She has to control her feelings. Her whole life flashed back to her eyes. She still missed her Dad and many a times she dreamt about being greeted and hugged by her father. She then thought about Dev, Maan and her killer elder brother who was hell bent on killing her in the name of fake family honour. Hadn't it been Maan who helped her that day,she might not be alive today....and even today when she was in trouble, he had saved her.

Oh,there again she was full of praises about Maan but she mustn't forget he was DEVil's elder brother.

Back at Maan's place, Maan couldn't come to terms with reality....

Was the truth only what he saw and thought or was there more to it.. Is there something that he doesn't know till now...what is there that Geet doesn't to tell him. Is that Gurprit responsible for all the trouble in her life. Even hell would've been a better place for her than the life she was forced to live in. At this thought Maan remembered all the troubles that she faced and her determination to overcome them all by herself.

Maan couldn't help but praise her valient nature, which forced a lovely smile on his face unknowingly.

Tonight was a lovely night not just because of full moon but also coz of the Love that connected two different souls together and binded them in the thread of feelings.

No matter what they thought about each other, their feelings differed from it. Their thoughts in mind were conflicting with the feelings in heart.

MaanEet realised that no matter what misunderstandings come between them,they can't be separated.

Once again the LOVE had cast its magic spell. All thei doubts and misunderstandings had once again left them with the feeling of love and trust for each other. Although their mind were in constant denial to their heart.
