Well these dialogues were so , so , so contradictory to what the Professor taught his own daughter regarding Sajjan Singh that I was totally zapped . Why so much insistence on SS coming and fetching her .......it will lead to permanent resentment . Husband came not once , twice but many many times . How much should this issue be stretched ? When I saw the Professors flip Flop I was stunned .

The Prof. is a confused man. He is used to talking principles, sanskaar all the time but when it comes to practical life they seem to be lost ever since their badi beti arrived home from Lucknow. Doesn't help when she listens to her younger clueless sister who doesn't follow her sanskaars as she preaches often. Prats wanted to do the right thing early on but she listened to the likes of Arushi who was more concerned about not being able to go around town and Rolli who was equally immature and she got herself into more trouble marrying a man whose family she knew nothing about and where life hasn't been a pretty picture for her.

How far will things have to go down before Krishna and Prats see each other as a husband and wife and not adversaries.

I saw the episode where Arushi does a big drama in the sangeet ceremony by howling . I admit Shakti is lousy and he tried to paw her in the dance but I also felt she was doing an unecessary drama . She cud have easily silently moved away and NOT danced .

But what interested me was when Krishna tried to pacify her and the way she pushed him away with loathing and contempt .Upon that , we see a confused Krishna saying ....Arre hum Bagh hai kya , kouno Janwar hai kya. It was heart rending that statement , and his confusion . Am I a tiger , all I am trying to do is placate u , he was saying in a puzzled manner . Arushi's disgust and contempt of him puzzled him and hurt him . Arushi has hurt Krishna very badly in many ways , every time . I wonder how the creatives will deal with the doctor track .I hope they show the doctor negative way and show us what an educated monster can be . I am oh so not in favour of Shakti raping Arushi and a Damini track . For one thing , Shakti is far too old for Arushi . It just doesn't click .

Arushi is worse than Komal in being a spoiled brat. She has no clue about what she is talking about almost all the time. I would like to see her eat some crow and apologize to Krishna for treating him with so much contempt, does she even know he saved her and Prats from Angad that day when they were fleeing in the rickshaw? She needs a lesson in learning how to respect people. Prats for all that she needs to change at least doesn't speak disrespectfully to anyone but Krishna.

Adarsh now will see Krishna in a diff. way. Arushi is probably looking to create more havoc in her sister's life. She can't believe Krishna is capable of being decent.

I never saw Krishna as a goonda. He even asks Angad "ka humko lucha lafanga gunda samajthe ho" when they first meet (Dec 9th episode). He is just a badmaash who likes the importance he gets around town for being Takur SSingh's son. He has from day one told Angad after he sees her to talk about Prats with respect. When he beats up Angad for chasing Prats around town he demands the same respect for her. No matter what is said by his family he demands they respect his sasur and Pratigyaji. If he really was a stalker he would have destroyed Prats by now and she would be a living shell of a person after he had abused her in every which way. When pushed too much he rebels back and reacts but stops before things get out of hand. His anger doesn't blind him to the point that he loses track of all his senses. There is still a level of control over himself and even when he does something he can't accept he never takes it out on Prats. He hurts himself instead. He is not lusting after her but seems to want to have an emotional bond with her. As he said to Amma (Feb 18th episode) he is not looking for fun, he loves her and wants to marry her. He will do whatever it takes to win her over as his wife. The first three months were about Krishna pursuing Prats. The next three months post wedding were about Prats having the upper hand. Will the pendulum swing the other way and have Krishna distancing himself and Prats tarassing for his love for the next three months? Seems the romance is not in the air anytime in the near future.

Pearl Grey has said the doctor will be a grounded guy but that has a vague meaning for a character on the show. I do hope they show there are beasts among men who are all educated, prim and proper in society but who have a dark side seen only in private by their wives and partners. Some doctors are notorious for being drug abusers bec' they have the license to prescribe drugs. It will be interesting to see Prof. assume that a doctor with his education would fit in their family well only to find that Arushi doesn't know what she has gotten herself into and the educated doctor is up to no good. This could be an eye opener to all those people who place education way up there as a criteria for marriage beyond humanity and an inherent good character. Hope we see the other side of the coin that is not Krishna.

I do not believe that simply bec' someone went to a college/university for a few years they automatically have the common sense or are good people living decent lives. Not everyone applies what they do learn in college about broadening their thinking and looking at a situaiton from multiple angles and consider different POV in a healthy way. People the wide world over have diff. personalities and experiences making them who they are.

Oh , educated beasts are equally or far more dangerous than even Sajjan Singh as they use education as a front to go undetected for a long time . They may have university education and degrees but

They demand dowry in an indirect way and harass the girl if their demands r not met ...............We see the Singhs not demanding a thing but fondly indulging their youngest son's choice ..............they were aggressive yes , but not greedy . Rather , The Professor did not spend a single penny for the marraige . Sajjan Singh may be arrogant but he did not demand anything from Professor .He could have . Instead SS even spent for the honeymoon . He could have told Krishna that your sasural did not spend a dime for the marraige at least ask them to finance the honeymoon . Trust me , grooms parents do that kind of talk . SS did not do it .

Many educated guys have massive ego problems and treat the girls maayka like dirt . We see Krishna constantly attempting to bond with the girls family but he is constantly cold shouldered . He got down from the car and went in to do pranam when they stopped on the way to honeymoon . He tries to treat Adarsh with respect inspite of the fact that Adarsh tried to KILL him with a knife . He tells Adarsh Pratigya to sit and have a bro sis chat while he goes away when Adarsh comes to their house to take Komal. He welcomes Pratigyas family effusively whenever they visit his home and orders his people to treat them with respect . Come in na . come right in he says with pleasure .Unfortunately all these aspects of Krishna are highly undervalued by the Saxenas and their daughter . Many Educated guys r so egoistic they only demand damaad treatment and give NOTHING in return .

Marital rape occurs a lot even in educated husband scenario . Women get up and go about their chores and rush to office to earn a living , pretending nothing has happened . Sad reality of life .

Educated Ego is one diffrent monster by itself .......we see educated guys preventing their wives from rising professionally above them as they cannot handle it .They want their wives a tad BELOW them , always . If the wife is in a higher position professionally or brings in more money , they behave like beasts at home by being uncooperative and the poor woman cannot even walk out on the marraige as the children are involved in this mess . Such divorces r very messy , very vindictive .

Educated guys often have extra marital affairs ...........we dont see Krishna looking at other women .He has no roving eye , and is completely faithful to Pratigya .He is even a virgin , he has not 'experienced ' women . Well reality check ....many educated guys are NOT .

Hope sumone points these things out in this serial .

My point is the main focus of KoolSadhu's current mail. The point of discussion in this track is not education vs non education. In my view it is Pearl Grey's thought process of how small town girls can take revenge on thier stalkers or Romeo's ( thus covering both Angad and Krishna). Kool Sadhu has pointed out very clearly that the way story has been written and the way Pratigya character is emerging is not what happens in the real life. The example of Stillhopeful's friend speaks for itself. The question here is how should have Pratigya dealt with Krishna's obsession of marrying her where her heart was never ready to accept him as a husband. I had seen the marriage episode and it was very painful. I agree with Kool that Pratigya should have shown a fight against this marriage and the parents should have supported her, the whole family should have fought against this obsession no matter with. And if the marriage still had happened, Pratigya's fight against Krishna should have shown. Here we are seeing his unending unselfish love for her and Krishna even having caused pain to Pratigya is coming across as a good person. On the other hand Pratigya is settling in our minds as an educated arrogant.

The point I would like to make here is that it is not close to reality but for the story sake, knowing that Krishna is egoless and a good at heart man, I would side with Pratigya here as it is very hard to give in your emotions to a man who has hurt you and your family. She would not have gotten this chance in the real marriage with Krishna kind of family though.

Komal on the other hand is oblivious of all these emotions as for her she had an arranged marriage where her man was not of same upbringing and that;s why her expectations are of any other girl and so speak her actions.

Again this is a close to reality drama and not a reality.

lotus8 Agreed totally . It is very hard indeed to give in to your emotions to a man who u feel has hurt ur family . Till this point I am with Pratigya.

But my point is .............She is being applauded as 'winning' . As a champion of women's rights . She herself seems to think so too . We see her making two dialogues in this serial that women libbers will applaud like anything

One in Kesar's abortion scenario .......Koi bhi Aurat ko Maa banne se nahi rok sakta . Uska Pati bhi nahi .......she says this with a look of defiance , anger in her eyes

Other when Kesar is hit ...........Aapne unhe ye haq [ meaning Shakti] Kyu diya ? ..........why did you give him the right to hit you ..........meaning , this right is totally in a woman's hand ..........as to what extent she will allow her husband to control her or rule her .

Well principally YES . True . In Reality NO . Those who take rights away , don't stop to think about the ownership of those rights and principles..........they just snatch them , override them .

The abortion was stopped coz Krishna stopped Shakti . Had Pratigya been ALONE , it wud NOt have stopped . If a gun is held , Doctors wont care for Pratigyas principled talks .

The giving up of haq to Shakti ...........a wonderful statement for educated women reading books but in reality those poor women out there r fighting for survival in a brutal chauvinistic world where if they confront their husbands and say I have NOt given this right to Anyone to slap me , they will , in all probability get one more hard slap right across the face and a kick on their tummy that will make them unconscious or will render them immobile on the floor writhing in pain . These beautifully worded sentences don't work in reality .

And so I want the reality check via a dialogue that her winning spree was not hers alone , she was lucky to have the support of her so called stalker husband . Had he not been there , she wud not have got much far . This may check impressionable women who idoloize Pratigya from marrying their stalkers .
