How aptly u summed up the whole story of this Pratigya in these two lines . I do hope creatives read your post . I agree .And I hope these two lines r included in the reality check dialogue if ever they show one .

What confuses me about Prat's character is she doesn't come across as someone who is smart. How does she intend to teach anyone a lesson without first having all the facts. So she assumed it was Krishna who kidnapped her after seeing her name on his forearm. But once married why hasn't she bothered to in a fit of rage or angry outbursts which she sometimes directed at him tell him you kidnapped me? That would have brought the truth out in the open and things would have been resolved. But then there would be no role for Angad in this scenario. LOL

Komal on the other hand is upfront and fearless when it comes to speaking the truth and well it should be. She is street smart and savvy and knows when and who to say what to at any time. She may not have a formal education but she has learned how to read people and situations and make the best of it.

I am reminded of what the elders in my family taught us growing up. That rules and regulations, principles and sanskaars are all well and good but sometimes you have to use your common sense first and throw the rest in the garbage. All these rules won't matter when the situation is extreme. All that stuff are meant to be guide us in life and nothing more.

Hopefully this show will open the eyes of educated people who live in a bubble about the reality of the gundas out there.

Hey Kool....

Thought provoking post...I just had to share this incident on this forum...

My cousin in rural Gujarat was stalked by her brothers classmate. The stalker came from an " Influential family " so my uncle had to literally plead and beg with the stalkers father to make his son "understand" what he is doing is wrong ....to cut a long story short, my uncle finally sent his daughter to live with her maternal aunt in Baroda where she could complete her MA and luckily for her the matter ended there.

The guy who used to stalk my cousin was subsequently tried for murdering his wife .He stabbed her to death because she wanted to divorce him. She wanted to leave him because he was unfaithful to her and also physically abusive. His ego could not accept the fact that his marriage had failed so he decided to kill his wife rather than go ahead with the divorce, which to his mind would have shamed him in society.

He is out on bail now...his parents are looking out for another girl for their son. That , is Reality! A stalker-killer going out scot free looking for a bride!

The point I'm trying to make here is that stalking is not about romance or love. The girl who ended up dead could have been my cousin had she been foolish enough to marry that sociopath.

No decent, law- abiding, sane human being would stalk a anybody in the name of love . So Pratigya's plan of marriage and revenge is ridiculous and totally unrealistic! I hope and pray that no young girl takes inspiration from this serial....these soaps, no matter how realistic they pretend to be should be viewed only as a form of entertainment.

.Thats what I tried explaining to some That it is NOT easy to walk out on a real bad husband in these kind of settings and sadly no one understood me . So I decided to do this post to let creatives put in a reality check dialogue . This dialogue can best come from

Angad : During a rape attempt where he kidnaps Pratigya second time and says .........I am gonna rape u , not leave u , coz I am NOT Krishna

Komal : Who tells Pratigya Did u really think u wud have gotten this far had he not supported u at every juncture .....my dad and Shakti bhaiyya wud have eaten u alive

Naina who tells Pratigya I always told u to work on ur marraige

Dadi who tells Pratigya that She is affecting Adarshs marraige badly and that her realplace now is at the home she CHOSE as a bride

I do hope Creatives read us . Adi what u said happened to a girl i knew in college too . The guy she dated had these tendencies and he did NOT allow her to get out of the relationship once she understood that he was not normal and wanted out .He wud press ciggarette butts on her arm [ she wore sleeveless] when she talked to any guy and hit her before marraige . Finally she ran away to her aunts place in Kolhapur and that guy thankfully shifted to a suburb far far away from our college .But he married and guess what .His Wife filed for divorce under spousal torture and abuse .

Today I saw the episode where The Prof requests Adarsh to go and fetch Komal after she refuses to come home after the pagphere . Adarsh says why shud I go and Prof says

Sometimes we have to keep the larger picture in the mind and nOT think of our insult and that

We bend swallowing our ego but win a far greater booty oif RISHTA

Well these dialogues were so , so , so contradictory to what the Professor taught his own daughter regarding Sajjan Singh that I was totally zapped . Why so much insistence on SS coming and fetching her .......it will lead to permanent resentment . Husband came not once , twice but many many times . How much should this issue be stretched ? When I saw the Professors flip Flop I was stunned .

Pratigya's real stalker is Angad . Stalkers r cowards , and Krishna does not have cowardice in him , he is very direct and fearless . He came across as a stalker due to his inexperience in handling things and approaching his ladylove and also due to receiving wrong signals and Angad's manipulations .

Another characteristic of a stalker is he never gives up and hangs around always .We see Angad still keeping an eye on each and every of Pratigyas movements. If not Pratigya , Arushi will do , but somehow he wishes to be connected to his prey and not lose control .

It is better NOT to slap eve teasers coz if the eve teaser has dangerous stalker like tendencies they get turned on even by the slap . They say stuff like an electric current ran through my body etc and connect to the girl as their prey . There is no cowardice in safeguarding oneself .........this dashing walk with flaring nostrils and flowing hair doesn't help in REAL LIFE .

Absolutely agree with u. it is better u DON;T SLAP teaser. just ignore him or just do something quitely . Pratigya;s slap has caused so much things. One more thing i think Pearl has done a very good job. You have to add something for the drama. You always cann;t go with reality.we all know that krishna is the main cause for people falling for pratigya;s drama. If pearl shows him -ve the drama won;t be a success. this group of audience will be against. i myself saw how much hatred they showed when there was the rumor of rape. So some changes have to be made for drama. I think pratigya is lucky to have krishna. Her decision was practical. there life was becoming like hell everyday. But see what all she has to go through. Even though krishna loves her his love is violent sometimes. i think pearl have tried to balance some practicality and some drama. u cann;t have all in one.

Doesn't help when she listens to her younger clueless sister who doesn't follow her sanskaars as she preaches often. Prats wanted to do the right thing early on but she listened to the likes of Arushi who was more concerned about not being able to go around town and Rolli who was equally immature and she got herself into more trouble marrying a man whose family she knew nothing about and where life hasn't been a pretty picture for her.

How far will things have to go down before Krishna and Prats see each other as a husband and wife and not adversaries.

I saw the episode where Arushi does a big drama in the sangeet ceremony by howling . I admit Shakti is lousy and he tried to paw her in the dance but I also felt she was doing an unecessary drama . She cud have easily silently moved away and NOT danced .

But what interested me was when Krishna tried to pacify her and the way she pushed him away with loathing and contempt .Upon that , we see a confused Krishna saying ....Arre hum Bagh hai kya , kouno Janwar hai kya. It was heart rending that statement , and his confusion . Am I a tiger , all I am trying to do is placate u , he was saying in a puzzled manner . Arushi's disgust and contempt of him puzzled him and hurt him . Arushi has hurt Krishna very badly in many ways , every time . I wonder how the creatives will deal with the doctor track .I hope they show the doctor negative way and show us what an educated monster can be . I am oh so not in favour of Shakti raping Arushi and a Damini track . For one thing , Shakti is far too old for Arushi . It just doesn't click .
