Khanak and Shantanu's nuptials from Rang Badalti Odhani
Even though Khanak and Shantanu are most obviously the leading couple, their marriage takes place in the most bizarre circumstances. Khanak was married to her childhood friend and first love Suraj but he dies in an accident and Shantanu, who is from the city, is falsely blamed for Suraj's death.

The Sarpanch of the village orders Shantanu to find a groom for Khanak in seven days as his punishment. After much difficulty, he manages to find Mulji who agrees to the marriage only for money. But Khandelwal, Shan's finance Natasha's father, doesn't want his daughter and Shantanu to get married so he gives the Mulji guy more money and asks him to flee from the village. Khanak is all ready for marriage; she has no choice but to agree because Suraj's parents want to see her happy and settled in life. They treat her like their own daughter. When the villagers find out the Mulji has run away, they beat up Shantanu, blame him for his mistake and then order him to marry Khanak. So a bloody and beaten up Shantanu marries the beautifully dressed Khanak.

thoda errors hai article mein , first partiallly he is responsible and next village ppl never ordered him to marry her , they actuallly felt he was again making joke .......... rest i love this wedding as its once of its kinds

some mistakes but overall chalega. If a person that doesn't watch the show reads this, he/she would be confused as hell. LOL

Hey, can you maybe edit the title and add "Article" ? (: That would be helpful in case someone wants to update the important links and archive gallery.
