I know Katherine is awesome and all and trust me no one wants her to live as much as me, but she has to go. If she doesn't die the triangle of Stefan/Katherine/Damon never really does. Yes, they both admit to loving her at one point but no longer but that will never stop her from trying. She has to die for that to wrap up and move onto Stefan/Elena/Damon.

What i don't understand is that why does this triangle exist at all. Stefan worships Elena. Elena lives for Stefan. Damon knows this , acknowledges this and if inspite of all that , they want to show a pining lover in Damon , then , am sorry - that is NOT Damon. Why should Damon always love women who choose Stefan? Why can't he be someone's first choice and the only choice?

SE are two names , one unified soul. Damon deserves a 100% love and commitment - a fairytale of his own and not some love plant rooted out of Stefan's life and grafted in his.

I understand the whirlpool regarding Katherine but Elena? Gimme a break.
