Yeah thats true as well, this thread currently looks like a one-to-one chat between you and me.

Your idea of story contest is nice specially for those who are really good story writer in our forum.
But what about the people like me yaar? I am a big zero in writing story I can only participate to give my opinion about the written story (if you need)

nice idea i really like it i've also written a story and was thinking of posting it this week but with this idea it'll be quite different because since the basic plot will be similar we all can actually show our story writing talent so i'm with u and since the plot will be already provide even some writers who can write well but r unable to think of a story can also try so i think we can go ahead with this even i'm ready to participate

its a good idea. This way many members will participate. It will encourage them. But how about voting. It should be like everyone has to rate each story but it should be somewhat hidden like polls. that means polls for each story where story is rated.

That will be too many polls. If we have 10 participants its like 10 polls. I feel one poll for best story should be good enough. Members who vote can rate each story and give points for improvements.

Some people like voting in hidden. generally voting should be hidden. If just best story is voted then how it should be person who wrote story is not allowed to vote on his/her story.
Just want voting should be fair as well as hidden that not hurt someones sentiments. Rating should be there. So rating by polls means that many polls. If  this way lot of poll is open. Other idea we PM our voting of every story to one person who just disclose average and not who gave how much to different stories
