Mani signs on Ranbir
Maniratnam is all set to direct Ranbir. Rensil D'Silva has penned a film
about an upwardly-mobile young Indian's search for his bearings in London.
And it will be this young man that Ranbir will play. It will be shot in London,
and the
film is about the cultural and emotional confusion Ranbir's NRI character
will face. Hopefully it will go on the floors in mid 2009.

Ranbir gave a glimpse of his soccer skills in the movie 'Bachna Ae Haseeno'. In
a song with co-actor Minisha Lamba, he stops for a game with a team playing at
a near by soccer ground.
In March 2008, Ranbir played a charity soccer match along with other Bollywood
celebrities at Abhijeet Kadam Memorial Football Cup match in Pune.
The match was between Bollywood v/s a team of professional soccer players.
Ranbir took everyone by surprise by scoring 4 of the 7 goals scored by the
Bollywood team. He was also declared Man of the Match.
Ranbir made his debut in 2007 in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's
Saawariya opposite the charming Sonam Kapoor.
After just one film, this storehouse of talent won himself the recognition and
appreciation of many:
