A NOCOPY quote cannot be quoted. Means it can be quoted but instead of the actually text the following message appears "Post cannot be quoted"

One member pointed out that this code doesnt work on phones and ipad :(

^Oh, right that might be the case then. I haven't tried to quote a NOCOPY post on my laptop before.

when we write [NOCOPY] in the post the particular post cannot be quoted... Smile

Hey. How do we or you decide whether something is plagiarized? Smile

And, would using dialogues from other shows in our work would be plagiarism?

I am about to write a collab FF with a friend of mine, and it is on courtesans.
And erm, well I saw a ritual in a show, and the prologue/chapter one of the FF will have that ritual which I saw in a show [ It is something which prevails in some parts of India] But the FF has different twists...totally different from the show..I have even stopped watching that show :-p

So the girl with which I am working is saying that it is plagiarism and though we give credit to that ritual which i saw in the show, it still will be. Is that true?

^See if it is a ritual common in India and you use it in my opinion it is not plagiarism. For eg if I write something on female feoticide which is prevalent in some parts of India and there is a show based on the concept then my story is different from the show only IF my take is different and my story's twists and turns are different from the show :-)

^^Yea its a ritual, and everything is different than the show instead of the start..so maybe it will go :-D
