I am going to sound silly but I thought this whole forum was there because we are fans then why these fanclubs and whats going to be different here than we discuss in other threads?
I don't know...it is a fashion in other serials forums because they have sooo many characters.

Actually my estimate was based on an article about Aditya Srivastav which I read and it was dated 2006 where they mentioned Aditya as a 37 year old actor.  I thought he must be around 41-42.

And age in the episode doesn't matter....sometimes they mention Freddie as 25  yrs old LOL and actors play roles of various ages, so what they mention in one episode shouldn't matter.

If he is really 46, a lot of things can be explained.

I agree if he is 46 then WOW kya maintian kya hai. Fantastic. He does not look 46 at all to begin with and then I am remembering all the chase sequences, all the physical exertion they go through, he could put so many youngsters to shame.

Daya Sir is 40-41 right? Abhi Sir is like 5 years elder to him. I am surprised.

See this article ... according to this calculation, he has to be around 41-42 now.

There's nothing Black about this Friday

Actors who worked on Black Friday say the movie was a very fulfilling experience for them

Aditya Srivastava
Resident of Sai Baba Complex, Goregaon (E), plays Badshah Khan, who helped execute the blasts

"I play Badshah Khan ' one of the 20 boys who were closely involved in the execution of the Mumbai bomb blasts," says 36-year-old Aditya Srivastava, who believes that working in Black Friday (the film based on Hussain Zaidi's book on the Mumbai bomb blasts) has been the most emotionally stressful role that he has ever portrayed.

This Sai Baba Complex resident adds, "The story is extremely sensitive and has some very moving sequences. That is why I used to get emotionally drained at the end of the day."

How difficult was it for him to get into the skin of such a complex character? Says Srivastava, "I read the book and formed images in my mind. Since I wasn't in Mumbai when the blasts happened, it was the book that helped me understand the gravity of the situation."

He adds that director Anurag Kashyap also helped him immensely in getting the look and the attitude right.

Srivastava, who is no stranger to the camera, has acted in various TV serials like 9, Malabar Hill and CID. He has also acted in films, including Bandit Queen, Satya, Dil Se... and Lakshya. He credits his experience in theatre to being able to portray characters with a large emotional graph.

Srivastava says, "I was studying in Allahabad University when I got involved in theatre. After that I went to Delhi and worked for seven to eight years on the stage." Even after portraying a wide variety of roles, Srivastava says that Black Friday will always be special. He explains, "At the end of the day it was very fulfilling work from an actor's point of view."

No idea who is correct....but if he is really 46, I really appreciate him even more....look at his body language...he looks so energetic when he walks, esp those scenes in khoon ki holi...and yeah, the chase in Manali...(leave that one blooper by the cameraman and editor)

Sorry this article is very badly formatted. I have just pasted from the source.

CID cops solve murder

SHIMLA: These 'CID cops' were

thoroughly professional and

natural. So much so that when

they were chasing a person on

the busy Mall as par}; of a shoot

for popular detective thriller

serial'CID', one of tjt passers-

by' alerted the Policejjeporting

Room on the Malljifoout it.

When the word || pad, one

of the co-ordinatto|s, Vivek

Mohan, had to waMip to the

Reporting Room tMrify that

"it was the shoptme for the

serial telecast on SeMTV, with

permission of the ^authorities

and nothing else."]Š$

.ŠThe 40-membeiffam head-

ed by show's creatq'ip.P. Singh

did the shoot in snow at

Dhundhi ahead of Manali, and

then on the busy Mall of Shimla

over the last week to solve a

murder mystery in snow. But

hardly anybody got wind of it.

This despite the fact that its

characters are familiar faces.

"It's a detective thriller and

its success is its naturalness.

The characters have been

shown working secretively like

real CID cops. We do have to

shift places of shoot and cam-

era subtly sometimes, if peo-

ple start watching Us, it spoils

the show," said B.P. Singh. 'CID'

happens to be the longest run-

ning serial on television so far.

The episode shot in Himachal

will be 612th and will be tele-

cast on March 26. The serial

started in 1998, and its spirit

has been creativity and the

team.

"Most of us have'continued

to work in it since its launch.

We enjoy doing every bit of it

even today. The caste and char-

acters are its strength. All of

us actually appear to be CID

cops," shared Shivaji Satam,

60, who is playing th lead role

ofACPPrdumah, He said the

serial had Been able to sustain

for so long as it's a real team.

"There is no one upmanship,"

Satam said.

He, however, seemed a bit

demoralised with little pro-

jection in the media about the

longest shot of 111 minutes with

2,000 camera moments in a

CID episode, for which the show

had entered the Guinness Book

of World Records.

The main characters of ACP

Praduman, Daya (Dayanand

Shetty), and Abhijit (Aditya

Srivastava), Vivek (Vivek) and

many others have now become

household names, with chil-

dren their most ardent fans.

"There has been lots of

response from children, wher-

ever we go. And I think, that's

our biggest success," said

; Stam.

"'CID'was rather a complete

family serial, which is liked by

members of all age groups. We

do not offer them anything

embarrassing or shots of crime

happening, which may invite

awkward questions from chil-

dren," he observed.

He along with Dayanand

Shetty and Aditya^ivastava

were seen mingling with kids

;; (who had come to hotel

| Combermeretomeettheteam)

Šj and answering their queries

: without any airs or hitches

on Tuesday evening, even after

a tiring day.

"It's like that. Most of us have

concentrated on 'CID'. We work

for 20-25 days a month for the

shoots. It's satisfying," said

Aditya Srivastava {playing

Abhyit), 40.

The team left Shimla on

Wednesday

@visrom Yeah 40-41 seems right. At the cost of sounding stupid, if they are in their early forties I am really happy, this for me means many more years of CID with them.
