Mughals were not Indians though they ruled over most parts of India. They were invaders from central Asia. Calling them Indians whld be similar to calling Britishers as Indians. So if anyone wants to preserve the glory of these mughals, it shld those central asian countries and not India.

India has done away with royalty and royal families. The Mughals were part of our history and we had some golden years under them. That is all said and done now. In that sense many Indians descend from great kingdoms and rulers. India is now a democracy and primary concern of the government and citizens is welfare of the Indian citizen.
It does not make sense to support someone financially simply due to their lineage, be they Mughals, Marathas or whoever. Everyone works and receives their due merit. Of course if they are underprivileged, then by all means support them just like any other underprivileged. If they are brilliant minds who cannot afford education, by all means fund their education like for all others who seek eduction.
But we are done with offering favors due to lineage. It is need and merit that matter more.
