Chapter two
A week had passed and everything really was settling in. the twins were always running around the palace searching for new places and really discovering different ways in and out of the place. Both Karan and Anjali decided it was best to keep a tracking device on the twins just in case they got lost in the large place, but surprisingly they never did.
Ar and Lorelei had always been close siblings and friends but ever since they had moved to the Alvandor palace both seemed to have become best of friends. In some odd way it was becoming more and more noticeable that Ar found it a necessity to protect Lorelei despite the fact that each of the children was to be protected with armed body guards.
None of the children seemed to regret moving to Alvandor but Ar being the oldest of the child sure did seem to miss his friends from school.
Karan and Anjali seemed to be trying their hardest to keep the family strong and running smoothly. Karan had taken up the duty to help Armaan make orderly decisions for his upcoming kingship. Both brothers seemed more stress than ever before. Armaan's twenty-fifth birthday was just a few months away which meant the power to rule all of Alvandor would move away from parliament to Armaan alone.
Ridhima was surprised. A week had passed by but Armaan had not once bothered her. She had thought that the man would follow her up and down, behind every step she took. This wasn't the case. In the week she had been in the palace she had only seen the working side of Armaan Malik. She had expected to see a spoiled man who had grown up with all the luxury in the world but that was not the image she received. She realized quite quickly that being royalty was not all that easy going and fun. Through the thin wall that separated Ridhima's and Armaan's room, Ridhima every day heard Armaan leave his bedroom at four in the morning and return home quite late. There would be nights she would heard him mumble in complaint of how tired he was.
Ridhima still considered Armaan a jerk for the way he had treated her when she first arrived, but now as the week passed she felt more and more sorry for the chap. Still she had not drought in her mind that as soon as Armaan got an open time slot, he would began to make her life a living hell till she caved to his irreprehensible demands.
Ridhima was heading to her room after dinner. Like every dinner she had that week, Armaan and Karan were both missing. As she reached her bedroom door she saw Armaan leaning against her closed door with his arms crossed. He was looking devilishly handsome. If it wasn't for Ridhima morals and knowing knowledge of Armaan's desires she might have even flirted with the man.
He was holding his suit jacket in over his crossed arms as his time was loosely around his neck. "Good evening" Armaan said in great civility as Ridhima stopped in front of him.
"Good evening to you too" She replied with the same tone with a little bit of bitterness.
Armaan stepped away from Ridhima's door and opened it for her. She walked in knowing quite well that he would follow behind her. Ridhima regretted that she had not told Karan or Anjali of Armaan's encounter with her a week ago when she had first arrived to Alvendor. She had just suspected that Armaan might have giving up and found an different interest to waste him time on, but when he had stood there in front of her room after dinner she knew that he was just getting started in his pursuit for her.
Armaan closed Ridhima's bedroom door leaving them in privacy. "You sure you do not want to reconsider my offer? I'm giving to one finial chance." Armaan said as if he had a plan already thought out of how he would make Ridhima's life a living hell until she agreed to live with him.
"I'm staying in your room!" Ridhima snapped at him "now get out of my room!" she said only to get a grin out of him.
"you can try to push me out if you would like" He said standing with a tall and strait back.
Ridhima fumed in anger, it was the very anger that caused her to swing her fist towards Armaans direction only to have it caught by Armaans hand. He took his hand that was stopping Ridhima's fist only the jerk it towards him hard enough to cause Ridhima's entire body to slam into his body.
As Ridhima's body slammed into Armaan she almost immediately turned to mush. "you still want me to leave?" Armaan asked in a seductive tone.
"I'I'" Ridhima's mind was shutting down completely as she felt one of Armaan's strong hands touch her cheek with such softness.
Armaan picked Ridhima off her feet and pushed her roughly on the bed as he came on top of her to close her mouth with his before common sense could enter her thoughts. He barely knew her as a person but he could care less about such. All he cared was to have her.
Ridhima felt heated all around despite the winter cold. Her room felt like a furnace with Armaan's body pressed to hers with his mouth hot on hers. He reached to move his hand to tug on Ridhima's t-shirt, but before he could Ridhima's before door flew open "Hey Ridhima can you'" Anjali's voice trailed off seeing Armaan and Ridhima so'close in such a position. "Oh my'" Was all Anjali could say and just as fast as she came into the room she left with a redden face of embarrassment.
Just as fast as Anjali left the room Ridhima pushed Armaan off in anger. She could not believe that man was able to put such a daze.
"bloody'" Before Armaan could say more or even get off the bed Ridhima's bedroom door flew open again as Karan ran in with a very angry red face yelling so loud that Armaan thought his voice might be heard even outside of the thick palace walls. "HANDS IN THE AIR! I WANNA SEE YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR"
Karan had been right behind Anjali, and as soon as she had quickly closed the bedroom door and saw her redden face of embarrassment he had known right away that Armaan was in the same room doing more than just talking. He stormed the room as if Ridhima was his daughter and Armaan was in no way related to him.
In truth Karan was supposed to be the cool one about the situation, but in reality it was the exact opposite. Karan had known Ridhima for Fifteen years, the same about of years that he had known Armaan. Karan knew of Armaan to be a flirt from a very young age while Ridhima was as innocent as they came. Armaan had probably been with many women in the years of Karan's absences, but Ridhima had never been with any man before and he certainly was not going to allow his notorious rake of a brother compromise such a self made independent girl like Ridhima.
Karan walked right up to Armaan grabbing his shirt collar and half dragging him out of the room as he continued to yell at his baby brother "what the hell do you think you were thinking! You do not touch her, talk to her, look at her, or ever ever ever even think about her! If I ever see you in the same room as her I swear I will murder you'" On and on he went as the voice started to fade away as Karan continued to drag Armaan to the study room all the way at the other end of the palace.
Anjali just stood at Ridhima's bedroom door way with a teasing smile to her lips. "so, I see you found a fondness to the country and its um'people" When Anjali said this Ridhima turned beet read in embarrassment. Now she really could not tell her sister that she in no way liked Armaan. He was just very, how could she put it in the right words. His presence was mind boggling. Ridhima did not like Armaan shoot he actually disliked the man more than ever. He not only took advantage of her moments of weakness but he also embarrassed her right in front of her sister and brother-in-law. What made things worse was that Armaan had looked in no way embarrassed when Karan had dragged him out of the room.
He really was going to make her life a living hell.
