Hrithik Roshan was born 10 January 1974 in Mumbai, India, to Pinky and actor/director Rakesh Roshan. He is the nephew of well-known music director Rajesh Roshan. Music director Roshan is his paternal grandfather, and veteran producer and director J. Om Prakash is his maternal grandfather.
Personal Life
*Rakesh Roshan signs the top Latin actress 'Barbara Mori' as the leading lady of his upcoming film 'Kites' opposite Hrithik Roshan.
The film is also starring Kangana Ranaut and is set to be directed by Anurag Basu along with the amazing musical composition by Rajesh Roshan. The remaining cast and credits are currently being finalized. The casting is taking place in Bombay & Los Angeles.
'Kites' is to be shot in New Mexico, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The film is another Film Kraft Production's presentation and is scheduled to go into production by the end of July 2008

Hrithik is an absolute pleasure to watch. Besides his great looks and the Body, he is completely comfortable and un-selfconscious on screen, moves like a gazelle, could probably dance rings around Ricky Martin and HEY- he is a good actor too! He has a double role and plays both convincingly. He completely changes his persona from shy and unassuming to a charmer who can walk the walk and talk the talk.
The surprise scene-stealer is undoubtedly Hrithik Roshan. He looks dashing, dances like magic, dresses well and proves he can perform too. He clearly holds his own in his scenes opposite Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. 2002
Hrithik Roshan gives it all to his performance and the sincerity shows. He uplifts the most ordinary sequence to a respectable level.
Hrithik still has the same substance everyone talks about. Comedy, anger, helplessness --- his face reflects them all vividly. He moves to the music instinctively, as he always has.

This is a Hrithik film, he simply takes over the film.He's the actual star of DHOOM 2, the real scene stealer. In fact, you can't imagine any other actor enacting the cool robber with such precision. If there's anyone who's bound to benefit the maximum from DHOOM 2, it's Hrithik. No two opinions on that! I see u- special apperance
