Friday's Updates

Scene 1 ---Where everyone is shown yet again that Ganga is too nice for her own good---
Ganga informs everyone of her decision. She tells her father to forgive her if she has hurt him in any way. Ayya is proud of his daughter's decision and tells her that he wants to be her appa even in his next life also. Ayya offers a few words of comfort to the collector and tells him that his mom will change her mind someday soon. Ayya also thanks Collector for coming forward to marry Ganga even when his parents didn't allow. Collector and Ganga exchange a sad look of goodbye before Collector leaves.

Scene 2 ---- Scene of the day!!!! Super Funny!😆😆😆-----
DSP comes to visit Palanimanikkam. (PM). He calls PM his chittapa. After a round of how are you's and i'm fine's, DSP asks PM how his ilani planatation business is  going. DSP says he's heard a lot about PM's special ilani and about how much it tastes just like foreign sarakku. Pm tries to evade answering by saying he water beats like that on special occasions only.

DSP asks PM to give him a special ilani to taste. PM lookes shocked. DSP says, "JC-kku mattum ilani-la sarakku oothi Ganga-kitta galatta panna veppeenga. Naan kay-tta mattum yosikkireenga?" 🤣

PM is speechless for a bit. He then tells jokingly to DSP, "Ath-ellam ippa ethukku, thambi? Let's drop this issue." DSP says ok! But, he says PM must answer another question instead. PM thinks that this DSP is a very villangamaana person so he has to be very careful with his words. PM says he'll answer whatever is asked.

DSP flatters PM by saying that PM must know about everything happening in this village as he's a VIP here. PM happily boasts that he knows everything that happens here. DSP tells him that he's asing this question to him as  a relative and not as a policeman. PM looks a bit suspicious.

Then DSP drops another bombshell. "Namba uravukkaaranga yaaro-thaan Collector kaala thannikku adeela pudicchu izuttha-thaa solraangale- athu yaaru-nu theriyuma?" PM is shocked but tries to cover up his shock by saying that he was unaware such a thing happened. DSP persists by repeating that PM would surely know something about it since he is such a VIP. --- Aaapu #2!!! Nice going! ----

PM says he has no idea about till now and that if he had known before this, he would surely have come forward with the info. DSP says, ok  and tells PM to call and inform him if he finds out any information regarding the culprits.

DSP then asks PM if he has any suspicions on anyone. Before Pm can answer, DSP says that one thing is sure- the culprit must have attempted to kill the collector because he doesn't want to see Ganga's wedding happening. DSP casually wonders, "Aaamaam. Neega kooda onga son-kku Ganga-va ponnu kay-ttatha kay-lvi pattaene?" PM says Aiyayyoo! That was loooong ago. Now, PM says he has no such plans. He has no desire to spoil Gangs' wedding. PM blabbers that in fact it is only Kulasekaran who wants to stop Ganga's wedding.

"So, that means you suspect Kulasekaran to be the culprit, right Chittapa?" DSP asks sweetly. PM jumps up in shock. "Aiyayyoo!" "Don't get me in unecessary trouble," PM says. "I have a lot of work to do and I have to go." Pm escapes at top speed.

Scene 3 and 4 --- Another attempt to restart Ganga's wedding--- aka Athiradi Action by Mutharasi----

JC tries to convince his mom to go with Natchiya and talk to Sk's mom. He says that if they both convince Sk's mom to trust Ayya, then Collector-Ganga's wedding can resume. Mutharasi is very angry with Sk's mom. She tells JC also that she is upset that Ayya told Sk to go back when he went to meet them the day-before. She says that Ayya is too nice for his own good!

She says that what Sk's mom did is very unfair. Someone pulled her son underwater so she wants to stop his marriage. What logic is there in her actions? JC says that's why he wants his mom and Natchiya to go talk some sense into SK's mom and relieve her fears. Muthu says that Sk's mom deserves a tight slap to wake her up to reality. Muthu says that they must threathen Sk's mom that they will hospitalize her if she even attempts to stop the wedding. Muthu sounds like a paaka rowdy!

JC tries to calm his mother down now! He brings Muthu to Natchiya's house. Muthu and Natchiya spend sometime praising JC. JC tells them to focus on saving Ganga's marriage. He convinces them both to talk to Sk's mom. Natchiya immediately agrees and tells him that she's proud of him for thinking sucha  great idea. JC believes Natchiya can convince Sk's mom for sure.

Another round of praising JC starts especially when JC says that he doesn't wnat the wedding to be stopped. JC says that people will blame him and that others like Ilavanji will say that Ganga might as well marry JC if the Collector's marriage is cancelled. He says that only the Collector is a good match for Ganga and that he, JC, is useless next to her and he doesn't deserve her. Both ladies are very touched by his sentiments.

They go meet Sk's mom at the temple. Natchiya and Muthu try convincing her with emotional please first--- just like she has a son, they have a daughter. They cannot let their daughter, Ganga's life be spoiled and she will be heartbroken. Muthu says that she should not let her fears dictate her actions; she says that her brother, the great Ayya, will find the culprits and get rid of them for sure so please trust them. Sk's mom says that only her son is important to her and she doesn't care about anything else.

Natchiya says that they understand SK's mom's sentiments and paasam for her son but tell her to also think about the consequences of her actions on everyone. Her wedding should not be stopped so close to the actual wedding day itself.  Muthu gets a little angry. She says that if instead of a drowing, some other accident happened, would ypu still blame Ganga and us?

Sk's mom takes offense and asks Muthu how dare she curse her son. Muthu says that they feel the same anger at her decision with respect to Ganga. Sk's mom says that Ganga can find 100s of husbands, I only have 1 son, I cannot lose him. ---What rubbish!---  Natchiya stops Muthu from yelling about the lack of logic and apologizes for the harsh words exchanged. Muthu stops her angrily. Muthu asks Sk's mom, What's your final decision?" Sk's mom says her decision is unchanged!

Muthu issues a challenge! She says that Sk's mom better show up with the Colelctor on the wedding day. Otherwise, Muthu will not let her brother's reputation be sullied. If the Collector doesn't show up, she says that she will tell Jc to tie the thali around Ganag's neck! 😕😲😲 Muthu drags NAtchiya away angrily....

Friday's Updates

Ganga's house

Charu happily skips in humming. Subbu stops her and asks her to go take an oil bath. Charu says she'll do that tomorrow. Subbu scolds her for being so lazy and asks her what is so special about today that she doesn't want to take an oil bath. Charu says that if somebody in the house has gone out for a nalla kaariyam, you're not supposed to take an oil bath. Subbu asks her what nalla kaariyam and who has gone out! Charu gives thiru-thiru looks and remains silent.

Subu calls out for Ganga and Ganga doesn't answer. Then, Subbu freaks out and runs around panicking and yelling for Ganga. Charu tells her not to be upset and then reveals that Ganga and Collector will be back once they get married. Subbu is shocked. Charu tells her that Ganga came up with such a decision because of the circumstance and the santharpa-soolnilai. Charu tells her to please understand . Subbu yells that she will not be understanding and refuses to believe that Ganga would do something like this.

Charu tells her that Subbu and Collector are getting married in the temple and Subbu seems to finally believe her. She rushes to the telephone to call Ayya and tell him the news. Charu tries to stop her. She cuts the call and pleads with her mother. She says that Ganga was compelled to make the decision by her and JC. Charu  begs Subbu to understand even as Subbu talks about how Ayya would be let down and his gouravam is at stake. Subbu tells her to let Ganga be happy; she says Ganga will die if the wedding with her and collector doesn't ever take place and she tells her mom not to spoil Ganga's life. Subbu looks offended and hurt at that statement. She starts crying even more that she has been spoiling Ganga's life. Charu tries to comfort her. The phone remains off the hook.

Ayya's House

Ayya is pacing around looking tense. Ila observes this silently froma  side entrance. Manga comes behind Ila and brings her aside. Ila asks Manga what's the latest news. Manga delightedly says that Ganga left the house with JC and that the Collector is waiting at the temple. Ila is very happy to hear this. She mocks how Ayya used to call Ganga the purest and most angelic of his daughters; now, Ayya will now the truth about Ganga, Ila says joyfully. Manga says JC can be thanked for all of this becuase JC was the one who encouraged Ganga to get into the car in the first place. Ila nonthufies her brother's vithi saying that he is the only person she knows who'll help his ex-fiance get married off to another guy.

 Manga asks her what to do next. Ila says that they'll call SK's mom. Manga laughs out loud and Ila tells her to be quiet becuase Ayya is there. Ila takes out her cellphone and calls Sk's mom. She sobs on the phone and the Collector's mom asks her what's wrong. Ila says she's not crying for herself; she crying for Sk's mom. Sk's mom asks her why, what's happened. Ila says to Sk's mom that her son has left her. Sk's mom panics and freaks out. "What happened to my son?" she says hysterically.

Ila tells herafter a long-winded speech about Ayakudi family's evilness that Ganga has taken the Collector away with her and eloped with the Collector. Sk's mom tells Ila not to talk rubbish; she says Ganga will never do something like that. Ila says that Ganga and Collector are getting married in a temple without anyone's permission. Sk's mom tells Ila that she's doesn't believe in that and tells Ila to stop trying to change her mind. Sk;s mom says neither her son nor Ganga would ever do anything like that.

Ila tells her that her son is at the temple. She reminds Sk;s mom that SK has before stated that he will marry Ganga with or without his parents' permission. Sk's mom gets a little angry and tells Ila that her son is still waiting for her permission to marry Ganga. Ila tells her to go to the temple to see for herself. Ila says that even Ayya has now gone to the temple to see for himself. Sk's mom is shocked that Ayya has believed this news; she starts to think that it must be true. Sk;s mom asks Ila which temple and Ila tells her that it's the Shenbhaga Valli temple. Sk's mom hangs up and cries that her son is having a thiruttu kalyanam. She leaves for the temple in a hurry. Manga congratulates Ila for a plan well-accomplished.

At the temple

Collector is waiting at the temple, looking tense.  Viswa is waiting with the garlands by his side. Colelctor tells Viswa that it is getting very late and worries that Ganga won't come. Viswa offers to call Ganga but Collector says he doesn;t want to hear Ganga say that she's not coming so don;t call. Viswa tells Collector that Ganga will get here soon and not to worry.

Ayya, Natchiya and Ila are watching this secretly on one side of the temple. Sk's mom is watching this scene from the opposite side. Ila tries to poison Ayya's mind- she says that a whole crowd of people are responsible for this plot including her own brother, Ganga and this Viswa. Ayya tells Ila angrily that his daughter will never do anything like that. Ayya swears on the God in the temple that Ganga won't do anything to hurt her father. Ila tells him that his trust in Ganga is commendable but she also tells him not to place too much trust and treat Ganga like a goddess when she's human like everyone else. 

Collector is still waiting. Sk's mom silently pleads to the Gods that her life will end if Ganga walks in and asks the Gods to save her. Natchiya tells Ayya that she trusts Ganga and that they should not belive Ila's words. Just then, Ila happily points out that Ganga has arrrived. Ayya and Natchiya get the shock of their life to see Ganga wlak into the temple with JC behind her. Sk's mom too looks upset.

Viswa sees Ganga there and informs the Collector. Collector beams happily when he sees Ganga. Ganga walks slow-motion towars the collector with BG music. Ganga looks a bit unhappy or upset but the Collector is super delighted. Collector thanks Ganga for showing up. He says his respect and trust in Ganga rose even more now; he says that if she hadn't showed up, he would have died. Ganga turns away and says she came to the temple because she knew how much he cared for her.

Viswa ushers the two of them inside the temple to get married before the nalla neram ends. JC, Ganga, Collector and  Viswa walk away. Sk's mom leans against the temple and starts sobbing pitifully. Natchiya and Ayya look equally upset and shocked. Inside the temple, Viswa tells Ganga and collector to wear the garlands. He says that only him and JC are the lucky ones to see the two of them get married.
