We were taught that men should not cry and should be strong. Still we see persons crying in losing a game and wailing loudly because a girl friend has walked out on him. so what is happening are men getting too soft and emo? some watch a TV serial or a competition and they cannot take it.

Men do get emotional, why not, they are humans, look at them from that POV, Do you notice men dont cry when they are in 'physical' pain, they cry only for 'emotions'. All this is human. :)

yes better to cry then be cruel.

Buy crying about the smallest things does not make sense. Even Federer cried in public when he lost . He can be disappointed yes, but there is no need to cry as the best man won. There will always be a chance to fight again.

It is not easy for a man to accept defeat when he always winsLOL Its better he cried and lets that bad feeling go away, crying makes you feel lighter :)

Last time I checked men were still counted as part of the human race, and therefore the shedding of tears is not only permitted, its encouraged. Plus, I'm sure all guys shed tears at some point, so what if they don't own up to it?

And I don't think there's anything wrong with being soft, I like guys like that. :)

To date, I have not met a single guy who did not cry at the end of Notebook. Personally, I love my boys to be a bit emo. It makes them edgy. No wonder I am in love with Gabe Saporta.
