Friday's Updates
Police are looking for Collector. Scene shifts to Ayya's elder son, Karthik. Karthik gets a phone call saying that Collector is still not found. The younger son, Sara, walks in and both sons praise their mama for getting rid of the Collector. Sara says they must now quickly act and try to make it look like Jeyachandran (JC) is guilty. They must make it look like JC had hired some people to drown the Collector.
Karthik wonders if this is really necessary. Sara says that once the Collector is gone for good, Ayya shouldn't change his mind and marry Ganga off to JC. At the same time, they can also take revenge on JC for spoiling their lanjam plan against the Collector. Karthik agrees to the plan; Sara says they must wait till everyone recovers from the Collector's dissapearance. Then, they will start to put the blame on JC. Meanwhile, both of them must act sorrowful.
Meanwhile, at Subbu's house, Natchiya is sitting down looking worried. Charu is lying on Natchiya's lap and Subbu is crying in the corner. Subbu starts crying about how it must because of her past sins that her daughter and Ayya are facing so much problems. Natchiya tells her to be strong. JC walks in and attempts to comfort her as well. The Kannakkupillai, I think, come in and gives them prasadam from Murugan temple where he has prayed for the Collector's safety. JC continues to tell Subbu not to worry because all of them are there and Natchiya Atthai is a very strong woman who will help you. He tells Charu that the Collector will be safe, the Collector can swim so he will definetely survive and come back to marry Ganga.
JC calls Ayya. Ganga picks up the phone. JC passes the phone to Natchiya. Ganga sobs on the phone ton Natchiya when Natchiya asks her about any news from the search party. Natchiya comforts her and later talks to Ayya. Ayya is also crying and he's upset that even after searching the whole night, no traces of the Collector could be found. Natchiya tells him to be strong for Ganga, to convey her regards to Collector's family. Ayya tells her to look after Subbu and the kids.
Next scene is all about the DSP and his family. The DSP is talking to his sister and his grandmother and both tell him to find the Collector and come home. Meanwhile, Ila comes by as Karthik and Sara are laughing about the missing Collector. Ila tells them she knows how and why the Collector went missing. Sara and KArthik are shocked and Karthik asks her how she knows. Ila says she was responsible for it. More shock on the 2 guys faces. Ila then explains about how she and Manga Akka placed did blackmagic and how immediately after that, the Collector drowned in the river.
Karthik looks relieved that Ila doesn't know the truth. He and Sara pretend to agree with Ila that it was all her plan. Sara suggests that they call Ganga so that it looks like they are showing concern for her. Ila is very happy because she wants to hear Ganga crying on the phone.
Ila calls Ganga. Ila pretends to enquire after Ganga and asks her how she is doing. She asks if there is any news about the Collector. Ganga says not yet
but they are hoping that he will be found. Ganga believes nothing will
happen to the Collector. Ganga says her insticts tell her that the search party will find the Collector. She says she will come visit Ila and her family with the Collector once he is found. Ila said that Ganga is very brave and optimistic and wishes she herself is like that. But Ila continues that she feels really bad about this because the Collector was doing some pooja to get rid of the dhosham and it seems like the effects of the dhosam got him in the end. Ganga feels bad. Ila praises Ganga some more and says she wanted to say some words of comfort; that's why she called.
Ila then tells Ganga not to do anything drastic if the Collector can't be found.She tells she heard from people that people tend to committ suicide if the person they truly love is dead. Ila says she is very concerned about Ganga after she heard that so she called. Ila tells her to keep up her optimism and tells her not to worry even if the Collector is gone, she still has JC who will marry her. Ganga is shocked. Ila then happily ends the call. Ila and Ayya's sons laugh happily about Ganga's misery. Ila says they don't need to woory about Ganga's marriage anymore because nobody will marry her now after her 2nd attempt at marriage failed.
Ganga recalls some of the more unpleasant things Ila was saying and is looking very sad and shocked and upset and even a bit angry....
