Hiii...first of all...am I right here? Embarrassed

I have to do certain Maths-exercises and I'm really having a big problem with this one here:

Appraise for each real number a every real numbers x, who complete the inequation

||x-1|+x-3|<a

Ouch Ouch

I hope someone kinda knows what to do and might be able to explain it to me and help me to find the right solution. I know, that there's something with 2 cases, but...

Ok, thanks though. Well....I'm also not 19...I'm 18. LOL

Waise, I just found out that many of my class didn't even try to do it. What to think of them...mmpf. I did 2 out of 4 - I think that would be alright. :)

You should have posted this in the college and uni forum as we have an active VB there helping people with math related problems Big smile

I'm only gonna understand french math

since i've been to a french shcool all my life :P
