In fact now many colleges, businesses and placement agencies are having people take personality tests mostly Myers Briggs to classify and place people. Sites like E-Harmony claim to use personality traits to match people with right partners.
We can be serious and have some fun here too.
- Can the human mind and behavior really be captured in a few personality types, considering how complex people can be?
- Are these personality tests objective and fair?
- Can people cheat or break the test?
- Would companies or colleges be discriminating by discouraging a person from joining a certain post or position if their personality is incompatible?
- On a more positive side of it, is it beneficial when colleges companies guide people to better suited careers?
- Is personality matching the future of matchmaking in the digital age?
On the fun side - find out what your personality is - http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp (I have picked one of the more reliable ones. The UW often has students take this test for assignments and such. Its not as in depth as the lengthy evaluations, but one of the more better ones out there)
Can you guess what I am?
