MY LIFE (Part 7-page 9)

Sorry guys for just barging and not posting an introduction!

Well, My Life is a story, in first person, regarding a girl called Sharvina.......

At 16, everything is fine with her! Good college, good friends and a nice cozy home with a beautiful family, but she really feels in her heart of hearts that something more is needed!

MY LIFE

Life has come all this way'

My life

Right from the time I came'.

All this way'.

Life has come all this way

A disappointment

A happy moment

All this way

The glaring sun

The shade of a banyan

All this way

It is the fair morning

The dawn passed away

Many things to do

Many things to change

Before the winter comes to stay

All this way

I want to make a mark

And light a candle

To chase away the dark

And hope and happiness to millions of eyes

And peace and happiness to many cries

I want to sing the song of love

All this way....................................

In frustration I threw my pen away and stared at the piece of paper...........................

My black letters on the ruled paper seemed to crawl, inspired by something.......

I stared at the black hieroglyphs my fingers had made over the paper............

This, will have to do.....I decided and threw a look at the large clock on the wall behind me........

Just a small update, cauz saw no replies!😭

Just then, my brother chose to enter the room, stared at the heap of my efforts, now piled so high, that they were littered on the floor, having fallen out of the waste baskets.......

"Loveletter likha jaa raha hain?" he asked teasingly.....

I threw him a oh-plz-do-not-start-again look while saying in my mind, "Hah! I wish!"

There was a loud honk outside the window and I peered through the maroon curtain.

Swearing under my breath, I hurriedly took my clothes and stuffed them into a bag and as an after thought, added the paper....

"What yaar! You made me wait for fifteen minutes! Fifeteen!" Aadi said, rolling her eyes.......

I looked heavenward for help. Ever since Aadi had got her license, she turned into some hot-shot in our friend circle.....

"Shar!" Aadi cried after I did not pay any attention to her lamentations

I rolled my eyes exasperated and sat behind her on her new Access…..

"Now where?" I asked in my most monotonous voice.

Aadi winced.

"Honestly Shar! Can't you at least pretend to be interested?"

"No. Now where?"

"First we stop at Zoya's for a while and then to the reunion."

"You mean to the stupid place where girls and guys who have passed out from school who feel that they have been stifled by the forbidding teachers in our austere institution come back to check if they have gone into same loser colleges like others, get together and goof around……"

"Well…call it whatever you want…"

"One quick question. What is up with the poem you made me write? What is it for?"

Aadi did not answer.

A few seconds later we were at Zoya's place.

She has a lot of fun, that girl. Blessed with no sibling unlike the rest of us, she single handedly manages to empty her parents' pockets faster than me and my bother could do our parents'.

That is if they ever allow us to.

Which seems impossible in the next 5000 years. Atleast.
